Supreme Court Rules in favor of Strip Search for Minor Offense
Ugadawgs98 replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
ahh....the old "living breathing" argument liberals use when they try to strip things they don't like such as gun rights that are secured by the 2nd. ....and some experts, tha majority in fact, did agree with me so what is your point? -
WellStar to break ground in Hiram Monday

People go to Grady or Rome because they are designated as Level I and Lever II trauma centers respectively. It has nothing to do with a landing pad. I expect this hospital to have a standard emergency room since there are 3 trauma centers within a 15 minute flight from here. -

Why would it matter? It was a routine traffic violation and not an arrest. Not like they gave him a pass for beating up his wife. -
Supreme Court Rules in favor of Strip Search for Minor Offense

My point? The search is reasonable and would not be prohibited by the Constitution as an unreasonable search as specified in the 4th. I supported my argument with examples of the conditions prisioners faced when the Constitution was written along with the following 150+ years to show the current mindset as to how we treat prisoners is a new wave of judicial activism and is not in line with those of the founding fathers. -
Craigslist really is not that bad if you have a small amount of common sense about you. It is the same premise as the newspaper classifieds 2 decades ago.

A/C on modern cars is not that big of an impact on the system. I have driven my truck for years and my MPG's in the summer and winter are pretty much as wash. Not the deal breaker many make it out to be.

Supreme Court Rules in favor of Strip Search for Minor Offense
Ugadawgs98 replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The Constitution? In the days the Constitution was written jails and prisons were basically torture chambers. The living conditions were horrendous and your meals consisted of bread and water. You could be arrested for adultery, for a debt you owe or for many other things we have now decriminalized. Now prisoners get 3 square meals a day, daily rec time, AC, and cable television but people want to act like the founding fathers would be outraged by a strip search to promote the general safety inside the institution. Bottom line....an arrestable criminal offense is still an arrestable cri -

Supreme Court Rules in favor of Strip Search for Minor Offense

This ruling pertains to those confined by the courts for a length of time that requires them to be processed into general population from the booking/bonding area. A jail is a secure area, general population has to be even more secure which is what makes that search reasonable due to the risk to the officers and inmates. Bottom line is when you are in custody some rights are suspended. -
Seems the most logical thing to do would be call the jail and speak with a supervisor who can tell you if the person is an employee and arrange any necessary meeting.

My god...no wonder society is in the shape it is in. A group of kids caught permanently and maliciously defacing public property in the middle of the night and half the people on here seem to think we should just forget about it their little 'mistake'. That is not a mistake or lack of judgement, that is a deliberate and intentional act that goes to show the true character of those involved. No way you could get caught up in the moment and not realize what you are doing. -

George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin, murder or self defense?
Ugadawgs98 replied to ihaveadog's topic in RECENT TOPICS
So now we are discounting the initial responding officers first hand account immediately after the incident because of a grainy low resolution digital video? it is not like detailed crime scene photographs of the injuries emerged yet we instead also discount the first hand views of the investigators who also observed it and requested medical treatment....all because of a grainy video. -
George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin, murder or self defense?

How true. There is no evidence race was a factor in this yet since the kid was black and the shooter was white Hispanic they assumed and took off with it. No outrage over the two black security guards who shot the unarmed black 'teen' in Dekalb last week. No protests, riots.....nothing. -

George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin, murder or self defense?
Ugadawgs98 replied to ihaveadog's topic in RECENT TOPICS
LOL..people just don't get it. Most criminal activity is tipped off by suspicious behavior if someone is alert enough to be watching. The behavior Zimmerman described is pretty much text book of someone 'casing' a property. It is out of the ordinary for someone to stand on a sidewalk staring intently at someone elses property. Add to that it was at dusk, in the rain, and the person was wearing a cold weather hoodie which criminals commonly use to conceal their identity in weather that was in the mid-60's. Just because he had not committed a criminal act does not mean Zimmerman's intuit -
George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin, murder or self defense?
Ugadawgs98 replied to ihaveadog's topic in RECENT TOPICS
One more time...there is no evidence that he didn't. No allegation from LE that he didn't. No allegations from witnesses that he didn't. No proof from the incident location that he didn't. It is simply a made up assumption from people who are trying to justify Martin's actions to keep him the 'victim'. If a person is standing beside tree A and tells someone they last saw someone running towards tree B and 3 minutes later there is an incident beside tree A what is more logical? The person followed the other person towards tree B or the other person came back to tree A? -

He did come from Miami Gardens....neighborhoods like that are not big on having law enforcement or the courts solve their problems. -
George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin, murder or self defense?
Ugadawgs98 replied to ihaveadog's topic in RECENT TOPICS
While that is a compelling strawman argument that is not why he was killed. He was killed because he physically attacked and injured someone who had to respond to his attack in self defense. The other stuff is just showing the recent pattern of criminal activity which goes to show Martin's mindset. That criminal mindset is routinely a cycle that ends up with crimes such as this. -

Well unless you are a thug who does not like snitches. Normal people would just call 9-1-1 if they were concerned. -
George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin, murder or self defense?
Ugadawgs98 replied to ihaveadog's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think it is clear since we know one came back to the area for a confrontation, proudly letting Zimmerman know he now had a problem. The same one who is embodied in a culture that commonly settles problems with violence and proclaims "snitches get stitches". -
George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin, murder or self defense?

You know...I must admit when I first read the story I thought Zimmerman was through. I looked at the pictures of a happy small frame 12yo next to a grim looking guy in county orange. I read how he targeted Martin because he was a black kid in his white 'gated community'. I read how Zimmerman continued to follow the 'kid' after being told to "stop by police". I read how Zimmerman confronted the kid and possibly tried to detain him. I read how the 'kid' was only armed with Skittles and a can of tea. I read how this 'kid's' mother talked about how she heard him screaming fo -

Well at least we agree there was two non-threatening acts that could have easily been sorted out by LE before Martin decided to dish out some street justice. -
