nope....but if you see him on a sidewalk in front of your neighbor's house staring at their 6yo playing in the yard I hope you help LE locate him to investigate. If he attacks you because you busted him I would support your right to self defense also.

LOL...people on this site must be dramatically different than the rest of society I deal with daily. Put a stranger, stopped on a sidewalk intently looking at property in the immediate area, at dusk, in the rain, while wearing a hoodie that criminals commonly use to conceal their identity and you will get a call routinely from someone in the area wanting them 'checked out'.

Well we are right back to that pesky fact that: he was not told to stop, he was told he did not have to follow. there is no evidence he did so because the attack occurred in the cut through near his vehicle

Let me try my own low tech narration. Zimmerman first reports Martin being near the clubhouse which I marked with a red square. He tells the dispatcher to have police come past the clubhouse and mailboxes, which I highlighted with a blue square, and make the left and they will find his vehicle parked near the cut through. Zimmerman exited his vehicle in the general area I highlighted with a green square to follow Martin through the cut through towards Retreat View Circle. Yup....not one bit of evidence to show Zimmerman confronted, touched or even spoke to Martin. I guess people are just creating that to help support their position. Zimmerman's injuries are not going away so they have to try to justify them as something other than a thug simply assaulting someone.

I commented on that earlier. Zimmerman says on the 9-1-1 call he lost sight of the Martin when he ran towards the back entrance of the subdivision. He was already on foot at this point and had left his vehicle parked. Now if Zimmerman continued to follow the Martin the incident would have logically occurred closer to the back of the subdivision. Point is it did not, it occurred up by his vehicle which was in the opposite direction. It only makes sense he is being truthful when he said Martin circled back to confront him. LOL....this is a neighborhood that is 50% black yet you still try to act like Zimmerman called simply because it was a black kid in his white neighborhood. Not really...more like Zimmerman followed the teen while detailing his suspicious activities and stopped when he ran off which is the same time the dispatcher told him "you don't have to do that". The larger teen circled around, assaulted him and Zimmerman defended himself from the sustained attack when no one would help him. Sounds like Zimmerman had a good eye of character and a thug made a mistake in victim selection. Most likely Martin was up to something and just didn't agree with Zimmerman 'snitchin' on him.

Sure am. I fully support the right of self defense and the right of legally armed citizens. You don't physically attack people and injure them without consequence. Sometimes when you do you bite off more than you can chew.

I still do not see it as important. As an LEO I have responded to hundreds of 'suspicious person' calls over the years and my response was no different if the person was a 'soccer mom' or head of the neighborhood watch.

Why would it matter?

What about a witness who says he saw a man in a red shirt laying on his back getting struck in the head while yelling for help. He walked inside to call 9-1-1 and immediately heard a shot. Is that not an eye witness? It certainly gives us the facts that led to the shooting which is the most important part.

LOL....sounds like a similar train of thought presented in this case. However, instead of calling 9-1-1 himself he decided to attack an armed victim.

Zimmerman can follow anyone he wants in public since there is no expectation of privacy and and he can also call LE if he believes they are acting in a suspicious manner. Martin also had the same right. Instead he chose to physically attack someone in a violent manner who turned out to be armed and hopefully learned a valuable lesson.

So did Zimmerman.

That would be a fine version if: it was proven Zimmerman "put hands on him" it was proven Zimmerman continued to follow him after he was told to stop when Martin ran off towards the back of the subdivision(since the shooting happened near his vehicle and not at the back of the subdivision, if Zimmerman had continued to follow him the altercation would have took place there).

Was anyone outside to see it at that moment other than Zimmerman? If he is the only one who saw it does that mean it did not happen? Who said someone has to be doing something illegal to be suspicious? Those same type calls go out to LE thousands of times a day and many of them are right on target, an alert resident spotted something out of place which ended up being related to criminal activity. As for the other drama....he didn't shoot him because he was black, in a hoodie, staring at houses or because he loved Skittles. He shot him to stop a physical assault.

....or what if you see a stranger standing in the rain doing nothing but staring at residences in the area. This happens to be the same neighborhood which had dozens of burglaries and thefts in the last year along with a shooting. You call police and try to keep the guy in sight. Where did you get that? Several people saw it, in fact some of the 9-1-1 transcripts reported they saw a male on top of another who was yelling for help. One witness, who did see the entire thing and was interviewed by local media confirmed he saw Martin striking Zimmerman who was screaming for help. That is reported now on several updated releases. If they exist? It is certain at least 6 of them do which have been known by LE since day 1. People were outraged and did not understand why no one was arrested and now it is clear. LE had witnesses who backed the account of Zimmerman to confirm he was was being assautled and acted in self defense. Also, trial is for those accused of a crime. The first hurdle is a grand jury, the facts are presented and they determine if there is evidence to indict for trial. A no bill is what he is after.
