  1. Janet Espy and daughter Julianne wrote this catchy song and Julianne is performing it...reminds me of Shania Twain. Really good!
  2. had them all my life, but since I've been taking magnesium and Vitamin D-3, I haven't had one (in a year!!)...research magnesium. Good luck.
  3. I hope the McClures are safe after all this; those Fennell guys are scary (and disgusting) and I wonder if Richard Belcher filed any charges.
  4. and we thought we were the only 2 people on the face of the earth who hated Vegas...feel much more normal now, Thanks!
  5. Exact same thing with my 3 yr. old Compaq (same as HP)..Paulding Networking is who I used before with it. There was a recall on a part that was taken care of last yr, under warranty. Then, this last time, when it just went black, I was told Vista was TOO BIG for this computer (even after I added memory) and all the updates hadn't really been done in about a yr. and a half, since computer wouldn't hold them. They cleaned up what they could, put everything on disc, and told me to start shopping! It lasted another month, then died for good. They gave me a printout with descriptors of what to
  6. Yes, name and spell your child's name so they will be comfortable with it if they become a doctor, lawyer, Indian chief,,,something respectable, not a name others will laugh at! Saw a child today named Marvelous...ridiculous to do that to a child.
  7. The schools are full of these funky spellings and names; one I know is named after a popular brand of water!! When I heard it, I almost laughed outloud, then felt like crying for her. I feel sorry for the kids too, who will always have to spell their name ALWAYS...other kids laugh, it's not funny or cute to name a child something you created out of thin air and expect others to think it's really cool. It's like a contest to see who can use phonics to create the most bizarre spelling of a common name, Then, amazingly, kids and parents act insulted when teachers can't remember exactly the let
  8. We would rate it a 3; food was ok, salad was disappointing (minimal dressings to choose), bread-we didn't even finish...just ok, for the price. Service was good. We were too close to other diners and heard every word, which made our conversation difficult. Maybe lunch would be better, but there's too many good lunch choices for us to return for it there.
  9. If it's your cell, you can block those numbers. I just recently had to do this for a wrong #; people kept calling at 5:30 a.m.
  10. You both will be in my prayers. God will strengthen you, as you face this challenge.

    Freecycle

I also tried to be accepted and it was just plain too much trouble and way too confusing to fool with; I donate to Goodwill and get it gone easily without fooling with all those obnoxious rules
  12. having more time with your children is worth anything you have to do
  13. I saw one in Carrollton YEARS ago and she was perfect on some things which there is NO way she could have known! I once knew someone from the McWhorter family in Carrollton, whose g.ma was well known to be a Christian healer; lines used to form at her door; seem to remember she was well-respected; he said it was a gift that ran in the family, but most kept it quiet!
  14. there are a lot of gypsies who live in Acworth, around the lake areas, trailers & sm.houses all together; women look right out of the 1980's, kids have uncut dark hair, gold necklaces, interesting culture
  15. had a good example to follow in her frozen faced mother!
  16. guys: mag flashlight; can never have too many or one of those small, silver laser type nice leather dress gloves, husband's family LOVES knives...always have a few of those given, thick outdoor type socks with something tucked in like soap on a rope or Cornhuskers lotion, gals: big umbrella with curved handle; still love it and looks good by door or anywhere OR tiny, pocket book sized one, thick red knitted mittens, sterling bracelet (watch for sales), gaudy huge rings are popular,Burt's Bees stuff particularly the lip dips (chapsticks, too are wonderful), pretty compact mirror
  17. the glass jar WalMart candles are wonderful and cheap..they hold the smell and last a long time...try them, you'll be pleased!
  18. a lot of frogs, scorpions, & 1 dead mouse; I'd die if I'd had anything larger!
  19. He should NEVER, NEVER, NEVER be allowed back in a regular public school. Did I say NEVER? NEVER.
  20. YES, the fried chicken was the best in the world, as well as the blue cheese dressing!!
  21. YES! and I would never buy anywhere else again; you don't get that icky feeling of being slimed by the salespeople. they are paid a flat rate per sale, so there's no pressure to buy a higher priced vehicle...wonderful; also, I once bought what turned out to be a real lemon and with careful documentation and taking it back over & over again, they took the car back and I started over (after about a month)and bought another one...where else would that happen?????
  22. taking magnesium has changed my life in regards to migraines; also I keep midrin on hand & take 2 at the first symptom & it will stop one kind of migraine I have. I also have hot flashes & sweating during the initial phases, with vomiting, etc.
  23. well, we learned not to use the one the realtor recommends (happened twice, we're slow learners); and all his paperwork screamed that he was not responsible for anything missed
  24. Russom's kindergarten is having breakfast for g.parents at 7:30 a.m.Tuesday. Good luck! Have you checked the teacher's website?
