His wife is a dr. and he home-schools their four kids. Uncommon, but not unheard of. I have friends where the wife had a megabucks job with (then) BellSouth and the husband stayed home with the kids when they were little and he worked on starting up his own business.

You can set out a cup of apple cider vinegar with saran wrap on top with holes punched in. They love it and will go into the cup and then can't get back out. I successfully got rid of two infestations in one summer that way. I hate those dratted things!!!

I get all that, but many of us have stellar references, and are getting no responses or interest. I have no doubt as to my worth, and I have no doubt that things will turn around for me soon. I just think it's dumb of employers to ignore good talent where it's available.
