  1. Where is Barnes Hardware? Imma go get me a dipper. And bang it up a little so it looks authentic. I say dude all the time, and to men and women alike. Once in awhile I will say dudette to a girl. I bought some the other day on account I've turned into a domestic geek and made my own laundry detergent. Der...this answers my other question. But ewwww...Bankhead Highway in Mableton...I'll have to psyche myself up for that 'ern.
  2. Oh, I forgot about the little church...a definite must-see. It's so precious and quaint. I keep meaning to go into the shops in town, but I never leave myself enough time. Next time...
  3. Most of this thread is from 2011. Is there any new information?
  4. I make my own, but I don't do the photo thing. What about a local shop, like Paper Affair...might be reasonable in the quantity you're looking for?
  5. I keep saying Imma give up procrastination, but I keep putting it off...
  6. SHUT! UP! Fred's closed?!?!?!? :fainting:
  7. WELL worth your money...BEAUTIFULLY-designed light show with music. The trolley will be cold, but not like if the temps were in the 20s or something. Just take several afghans and scarves/gloves/hats etc. and you'll be fine. The trolley is a bit cramped and bouncy, and the seats are not cushioned. The light ride itself will take about an hour. You'll have to do some walking between your car and the trolley as well. (If you're staying at the inn and the shuttle is running, I personally would jump at that.) They route you around through these little shop areas to get to the loading spot.
  8. Not disagreeing with you...just wanted to put that out there since Pubby had the same take on the complaint as I did. His case would be MUCH more credible if a) he made sense instead of rambling nonsensically on a public chat board, and 2) well, the first one covered it, I guess.
  9. First, you will never regret moving to DirecTV. Thought I'd get that out of the way in this heavy topic. Second...Tears, chills, sense of utter awe - I have them all right now after reading that. How great is our God. How GOOD is our God. That precious baby, in such a dire situation, and you and Will being willing to take her in...I have prayed for her as God brought her to my mind since you first wrote about her. I was shocked when they didn't place her with you and Will, and I prayed even more. Just...wow. God did indeed hear and answer our prayers for that baby, even if it wasn
  10. I never met her, either, but she sounded like an interesting person. Rest in peace, Miss Jessie...
  11. This is what I also gathered, although the ramblings of the original post were indeed hard to decipher. This is an issue that is increasingly in the news. I am not taking sides on this particular situation, esp. in light of the...er...confusing information given by the OP. But the following links are the latest I've seen on photographing the police. Reason Magazine also has a lot of good information on same. BTW, I'm way pro-LE, but I'm even more pro-freedom. http://www.photographyisnotacrime.com/2012/11/24/california-man-jailed-four-days-for-recording-cops/ http://papers.ssrn.com
  12. That is TOTALLY on my list.
  13. If I win, I gotcher 500 acres and house with moat and crocodiles and whatever else you wanted. Oh, fenced with security, etc. I'll even throw in a housekeeper AND a full-time masseur.
  14. So they flew her over there, but wouldn't fly her back? I'm not dissing their policies, but I don't get the differing decisions within a short timespan.
  15. Seriously. I never even stop on the channel anymore when I go past it. I've never seen that Honey Boo Boo thing, and I already know too much about it.
  16. Yeah, I like this. I see where you're coming from, DG, but I like leaving the choice with them. They may choose not to investigate, or if they do, what if it worked? Still keeping her in my prayers...
  17. That's one of my mother's favorite things when we all get together...watching us and seeing us laugh and cut up like when we were kids. :happysigh:
  18. WHAT?!?!? It's only the most high-profile case of the year (decade?), and you don't bring in computer forensic experts?!?!? OH, MY LORD!!! :faintingdeadaway:
  19. “We’re not claiming what Autumn has done is due to some mind-blowing talent,” Doug said. “It’s an issue of access or exposure. If you put 5-year-olds in front of an 80-piece orchestra and put a baton in their hands and exposed them to that to their heart’s content, by the time they were 10, you might have a prodigy. That is a question we discuss on a daily basis. It’s a question that transcends Autumn.” FANTASTIC perspective. I often wonder if every child were given encouragement and opportunity to follow such leanings what geniuses the world would know.
  20. WOW. Please tell your daughter for me that I know from talent, and she has it. That image is very evocative.
