I just want to say that I have never seen a restaurant with so much "controversy" surrounding it. Whether it be about smoking, drinking, closing, etc., all that talk has got to have some adverse consequences. We ate there several times and was happy with it but man, I have never seen so much good and bad drama for one place in my life.

I have come to the conclusion that some folks have children because it is the next thing to do after marriage. (sometimes in reverse order) I am not saying this statement pertains to all parents who leave young kids unattended, but a lot of parents put other "nessessities" before their children. (like sleep, their morning coffee, the paper, taped Oprah shows, and just laziness)

It is not the players fault that sports announcers fall in love with em. I agree about the amount of times they mention certain players but you can't blame a player for it. Tebow is a great "college" player but recently I have become a fan of his only because of his upbringing and his determination as a young man. What a role model for students today and a standout Christian at that. My only fault I can find in his life: What in the world was he thinking going to Florida? LOL

Strange as it may be, I like both schools.

Ate at the new restaurant last night

We ate there tonight and it was just ok. service was good but the food was a little different than I expected. Different strokes for different folks. I'll pay 4 or 5 dollars more for a couple other restaurants in the area. -
the only reason they closed was the food sucked. We ate there a month after they opened and it sucked and we convinced ourselves to try it again a month later and guess what? It sucked even worse. I never went in again. Sorry for the job loses but I hope most were able to see the writing on the wall and started looking for other jobs. Location probably didn't have anything to do with it. If something good comes in, I bet they make that a hot corner. JMO.

sent you a pm.

Yeah, the governor ® of that state is one of them. But it is hard to argue that stupidity doesn't favor a particular party.

What an idiot. She (D) said the police were costing the people more on injury claims than anything else. How stupid of her to put a price on preventing or stopping crime. Ignorance at its best.

Surepip--Is the Facility Group still around after all the legal problems the past year? That would be great for the county if it didn't have any recourse.
-
Grayce--I don't know if you heard the band or that group of 15 boys who think bringing paint buckets and sticks and trying to play a rhythm ALL GAME LONG. The band didn't play but a few songs. I wondered why they weren't playing.

Good luck at telling some folks around here how to drive. If some can't figure out that they can't turn left in and out of Dollar General on 61 South, don't think for one minute they will have a clue about paint markings on the road.

My son and I have played that course. Come to think of it, that is the only course we've played. If you aren't in shape, you won't finish that course. I was waiting for the chair lift for 20 minutes on the 10th and 11th "baskets". I realized it wasn't coming. We had a blast.

Thanks for all the posts. Lowrider, I do know who said it but I just had to put it out there in the cafe so more could see it. My goal in debating politics is to discover what core principles and personal opinions shape people's ideas. Amazing to discover some principles for certain people. LPPT, thanks for your post and additional insight into this matter. Pubby and I may disagree on a lot of things but I do commend him on starting a business. He accepted all the risks and should benefit the most in prosperous times. On the flip side, he will suffer the most if anything unfortuna

How could I have forgotten all those..................................stupid me. Guess I'm tired from rolling in all my cash. I lost touch after all my under paid employees went to 70 hours a week for 40 hours pay.
-
Yep, while the employees of those businesses got paid every week.

Wow PSD. Can't fool you.

We were having our typical back and forth conversations in the other forum when this statement popped in. I want to see what you all, the ones who wouldn't dare venture into the other forum, have to say about this. The context in which I was talking pertained to business ownership. I started my own business almost 6 years ago, worked 80 - 100 hrs a week doing payroll, work orders, material lists, field work, soliciting new business, and any other general/specific business stuff. Before the recession, we were responsible for 15 families on our books. I think that is a big responsibilit

Just saw the onion for the first time yesterday and I love it. I see many good times in the future. -
there are two different issues at hand here. The genetic make up and the competition rules. Very sad on the exploitation of this person for an unfair advantage. As for the competition, everyone knows you have to have genetic rules in play to prevent this very thing. What's next? Special genetics Olympics? Folks, you can't hold any competitive body at fault for putting rules in for fair competition. Some heads should role for the improper exploitation of this person.
