Are you for hire? We're doing a big, giant, formal event and we're still considering a BBQ and southern buffet - green beans, sweet potatoes, casseroles, etc. The event itself sort of calls for something more on the 'fancy' side, but I'm pulling the 'It's my wedding and I want pulled pork and ribs' bit. BBQ is also cheap - and I'm feeding close to 200 people, so...yeah.

I know I'm friends with alot of you on facebook and you've seen these already, but I thought I'd post them for those I'm not friends with (likkkke, Lady Raider ). She got upset at the end because she realized her favorite Uncle wasn't sitting with us, but he was a few rows up, she just couldn't see him.

1) It doesn't make sense, to me, that you were quoted one price then charged a higher price after your husband did some of the work from the original estimate. 2) I have no idea what I would do now, but I know I wouldn't have left my car with them without a new estimate, and I certainly wouldn't have let them keep it long enough to fix it.

Awwww. That's my doctor's office. Of course, I haven't been there in years so I guess things could have changed. My only other suggestion would have been the college women's health center - that's where I've been going since I started working at/going to the college. Sounds like she's not in a local school, though.

I've done that. Twice. I'll have to see what I can do on that end - the few times I've asked the rude folks what company they're calling from I've heard 'This is a personal business matter'.

I never thought about using CE. I'll have to wait 'till they call again to get the name...it's been awhile since I've answered and I can't remember it off of the top of my head. I know I've googled it before and came up with squat.

For the past year, I've been getting collections calls from the same company for the same person. About once a week I actually answer and remind them, yet again, that I do not know this person, have never heard of this person, and have had the same number for almost 7 years. Maybe twice, I've talked to someone who was exceptionally nice, but I typically get an 'Uh huh, yeah.... (click)' or sometimes they just hang up on me. They don't even call during normal hours anymore...I'm talking, like, 7:30 in the morning and 8pm at night. Every.single.day. Any way I can make it stop?

Growing up, the friends my mom had were allowed to spank us. I think the difference is that we knew they were allowed to spank us. They had been given the 'If she acts a fool, whoop her little ass' go-ahead and I had witnessed it. Even know, I have friends that are definitely allowed to spank mini-me. How well do charts work for you and your little ones? Mine loves to feel like a 'big girl', so I made her three charts: a teeth brushing chart for the bathroom, a reading chart for her bedroom, and a chore chart for the kitchen. Each one has a reward at the end of it if she does the required for X amount of days a week. Think it'll work? I'm thinking about either doing X amount of days a month gets a movie (at the theater) at the end of the month, or X amount of reading a day gets X amount of television a day. Maybe both?
