  1. Awww, he had a few great moments. Crystal definitely out sang him last night, though...I was hoping she would win but everybody is right about her being too creative for AI. I was crossing my fingers she's hop on Lilith this summer, but she'll be on tour with AI. Maybe next year.
  2. Now I wish I had watched it...I've been waiting for her to belt that one out. I don't care who wins, they both rock. I'm still ticked my eye candy is gone despite him not being quite as talented.
  3. From a former bookseller who got this exact question all the time: How to Raise Your Parents: A Teen Girl's Survival Guide <-- this one is one of my favorites. I had parents/teens come back and thank me after they'd read it. 99% of the time, the parents read it, too. It's a good read. Staying Connected with Your Teenager Parents, Teens, and Boundaries Positive Discipline for Teenagers <-- this series is my all-time favorite series and a best seller. They have a book for each age level. Genius stuff, worked fantastic when mini-me was little and parents I suggested it to
  4. Locally, you can try. Some come close, but not quite. And good luck finding any that add fruit. I have three favorite drinks, two of them I've had to teach bartenders how to make. Of course, then it's always made the way I like it.
  5. That one I have down to look at...I'll add the other two to the list. Thanks! Any specific hotels/resorts?
  6. True. We walked everywhere we went, and once you get back to outside Forsyth Park (walking or driving, but we were walking), you can smell the drugs being smoked on the front porches. Good rule of thumb is to stay within the squares, or on the road to Tybee, until you get back to the 'city' part where all the stores are. For some reason, there's an area right off of the interstate that has all of the stores, etc. like Marietta, then there's almost a u-shaped 'ghetto' all the way around historic district that is about 3 blocks wide...unfortunately you have to go through it to get to histor
  7. I don't mind the age group - I expected it, but the Superclub dump part worries me. It seems their reviews are either A+ or F...none in between. Yeah, that part doesn't bother me. It's half the reason want to go - real looking people, not early twenty, hot blondes with fake boobs in barely there bikini's everywhere I go. Almost all of my friends are 30-45 anyway. ETA: The shaving cream bikini contests, naked twister, etc. are what scares me about him going. I'm afraid he'll have a minor coronary.
  8. So a forum search on here for Savannah - I listed a TON of stuff in the last thread somebody asked. Here's some more: You can kayak - too much fun. Oatland Island Wildlife Reserve The Fort is open for visitors but they have specific times so I would google that. Mrs. Wilkes. Seriously. TEN times better than Lady and Sons and cheaper for two. Google the ghost tours - some of the 'cheesier' ones are cheaper and kid-friendly The Marine Science Center on Tybee There's a train museum and a boat museum... ...there's something else and I can't remember. I'll get back
  9. I didn't know you've been to Hedonism. I never would have thought Dominican. Me, too! It was his idea. I just sort of went I don't want to spend all that money and spend a week with him going around every corner. Which resort were you staying at?
  10. I'm looking for a travel agent...maybe? Looking to travel to either Mexico, Central America, South America, or the Caribbean next year after the wedding. We're just trying to get an idea of where/prices, etc. We've been looking at Hedonism II and III since we got engaged, but part of me wants to rent a privately owned home in Costa Rica for $69 a night, hit up the blue waters, and forget the world for a week. I know very little about Central and South America except that they're on my 'bucket list'. So...travel agents? Recommendations for location? I know some of you have been somewhere s
  11. How did they steal your car without a battery? Mine sat on the side of 278 last night and I was scared I would return to find the battery missing. Ridiculous.
  12. So true. My big thing about the 'gore' is that I do wait until the lane opens to signal and cross over. It took me several years of almost being rear-ended to learn to look behind me to make sure I'm not going to get hit/hit by somebody breaking traffic law. People just shoot right up as soon as the gore starts and hit those of us actually turning when we're supposed to. I almost wrecked my mom's brand new Dodge Sport the day I got my learner's permit because of this and all I could say was 'But the book says not to do that!'.
  13. We should get this going on facebook. ALOT of the people at the shelter last weekend said they found out about the adoptions through facebook.
  14. http://www.wellstar.org/ws_content/ws_hospitals.aspx?id=400&pic_id=1332 My mom went there after an extended coma to learn how to walk/function again. Great hospital.
  15. Ain't gotta roll your eyes, I happen to think you rock. I just read it and went 'Ouch....alright then'.
  16. No problem! I use Family Savings Credit Union, which is behind the Suntrust next to The Briar Patch. I've been there for 7 years and LOVE them. They are a 'part of' the Credit Union of Georgia, so I can made deposits, etc. at any Credit Union of Georgia as well - useful, because there's a CUofGa right across campus.

  18. Mine says 'a monkey, and some panties'. Hey now, I never watched Barney and I was/am a hugger.
  19. Noooo, not really. I'm just confused as to why the rape of a teenager is automatically assumed to be something that 'got out of hand' while the rape of an elderly person is 'a violent crime'.
  20. She's had a couple of squirrels that made it, as well as a 'litter' of jack rabbits and a single jack rabbit...bunches of kittens, as well. Oh, and a goat. She's a farm, I tell ya.
  21. I'm sure she could, but I don't think it would turn out so well. The person who brought it to her did so because her cat brought it to her in it's mouth. It was slightly injured, but nothing serious...and the cat is still 'patrolling' the area.
  22. He is also over the age of drinking and she is under the age of drinking. Typically, the overage person can be charged if the underage person has consumed or is in possession of alcohol, whether they supplied it or not.
  23. Without giving out too much info, I've been the victim of something of the sorts with two separate individuals. Both of them were around this guy's age. Both of them also grew into well-adjusted, caring, amazing people with families of their own. Both are in public service, both made a slew of mistakes when they were teens, both got help. Sometimes, people can change. Sometimes, they can't.
