  4. Whomever it was that was insisting the volunteer call them "spring" spheres rather than "Easter" eggs
  5. The name "Easter" originated with the names of an ancient Goddess and God. The Venerable Bede, (672-735 CE.) a Christian scholar, first asserted in his book De Ratione Temporum that Easter was named after Eostre (a.k.a. Eastre). She was the Great Mother Goddess of the Saxon people in Northern Europe. I'm very good friends with her niece and she hasn't called to tell me anything bad has happened...I'm assuming all is well
  7. A-Men! it would really be no different than calling them a horses patoot (Old word my grandmother used to use). My point is that my kids better not call ANY adult a name of any sort, except sir and ma'am!
  8. my kids would get a beat down for calling a teacher an ass...that is just a matter of respect. However; the little asses probably deserved it
  9. Well, in my experience...most kids are asses. Guess they shouldn't act that way and they wouldn't get called that. That being said...how old were the kids?
  10. dangit I can't watch at work...fill me in???

  13. Sunscreen, tshirts (no, not hokey...very thoughtful), tylenol (lol feet hurt when you are there!), maybe a gift card or two to use for drinks and souveniers, small snacks and goodies...and my suggestion is not to use a basket, but a backpack type thing so that everything can be thrown in it and carried to the parks! This is so sweet of you! I'm excited for your mom!!!!
  14. Unfortunately, I can only give you +1 on this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
