  1. I also like Paul, he is different.
  2. Casey was the one in the hospital, so he made it. I LOVE Scotty and Casey makes me smile when he sings.
  3. But is it just me or is that Ashley chick totally cracked out? She is too emotionally unstable to move forward, even if her voice is good. She would never be able to hold up under the pressure. HOWEVER, the others have sounded great. I am enjoying tonight's show a lot.
  4. My goal is 150 this year. So far I am on number 10! The snow break helped alot. I just finished book 3 of The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Starting book 4 as soon as I finish playing online. So on to book 11.
  5. Sorry, meant to put the link on there. Here it is: My link
  6. I am impressed the state DOE actually made a decision quickly. This is from the AJC: Due to the weather and district/school closings, the Grade 8 Writing Assessment administration has been rescheduled. The assessment will be administered as indicated below: Main Administration – Wednesday, January 26, 2011 Make-Up Administration – Thursday, January 27, 2011 Materials will be shipped and delivered to schools on Tuesday, January 18. We will continue to send communication to the Testing Coordinators as updates are received from the GaDOE. If you have any question
  7. Certain chronic illnesses have no cure. I have fibromyalgia....there is no cure. So I keep pain meds on hand for the really bad days and suffer through the OK days without. Believe me, if one lives with chronic pain, and a choice was available to "fix" or "cure"it, we would jump on it. I just wish there was a cure for fibro. It would make my life and my family's life so much better.
  8. I saw a neuro for a while when they were testing to make sure it was not MS or something other than fibro. She was great, but told me i needed to see a rheumy for the fibro. I will let you guys know how it goes getting an appointment set up with Wesselman. Fingers crossed. I do not mind waiting to get in if i can find a good one.
  9. Thanks for the info. Dr. Wesselman is on my insurance so i may give her a call tomorrow to see if i can get an appt. Then have to gwt my GP to put through the referral.
  10. Ignoreme...sorry to hear that. I think I liked him b/c the one I went to before him was soooooo horrible that he seemed pretty good! LOL. He at least worked with me and listened to me. But finding one around here seems to be kind of frustrating.
  11. My rheum. closed down shop in Austell. I liked him a lot and he had lots of experience with Fibromyalgia. I am now looking for a new one and my GP just did not have one he felt comfortable referring me to. So, anyone know a good one within decent driving distance? Thanks so much!
  12. Here is what I mean by the Haves and the Have Nots. When a student uses the voucher to go to another school, that accepting school has the ability to kick that student out at any time...for instance a behavior issue or lack of progress. Where does that child then go? Back to their home school who has no choice but to take them and work with the issues the child brings. These schools will only have the "Have Nots" those kids whose parents cannot afford to transport them to another school, those kicked out of their voucher school due to behavior or academic issues, and those whose parents just d
  13. But you guys do realize though that even though Paulding opted out of Race to the Top, those counties are Starting the program, but in 5 years, ALL school systems in the state will have to follow on this. I do not usually agree with former member on lot, but she hit it right on this count. We are creating a school system of "haves" and "have nots" and i can promise you the TWO will NOT be equal. But hey, the state and federal politicians do not care, their kids are in the private schools where any kid who does not fit the "norm" there can be kicked out. Ugh!!!! Most teachers
  14. No biggy....maybe I just took it wrong. Easy to do on a message board. Now that we totally derailed the actual topic....I think he has the right to change out the pictures, BUT I do not want to see tax funds being used to find replacements. I LVOE the idea of auctioning them off.
  15. And I agree with what you just posted. Just not sure why you assumed that I took the book as fact. Again, just think it would be a great book for students to read. That is all.
  16. UMMMM YES I am well aware of that. Never said it was a true story. It is historical fiction. I teach English and it is a wonderful book that would stimulate great discussion with my students. Edited to take out my snarky comment.
  17. AMAZING BOOK. I would love for it to be required reading in our High School English classes. !
  18. I grew up in East Tennessee as well and LOVE it to this day. I would love to retire up there to the Smoky Mountains one day. I have been here for 22 years and I still miss it!
  19. Chances are the girl will be expelled from the school as well as the boys since it happened on a school bus (considered school grounds). While she cannot be charged legally, the school can and most likely will hold her accountable as well.
  20. I just spoke with my principal. They have not been told this at all! As of right now, there is still school.
  21. PLease be patient, I again just spoke to my principal, they have not gotten this call yet if it is true! Please don't tell the kids till we know for sure.
  22. I just spoke with my principal and he had not heard this.
