  1. Wonderful!! I always enjoy watching that piece. It's frightening how his last statement rings so much truth these days.
  2. I think the first thing that everybody thought about that day after it all happened was their loved ones. No matter where someone was in the country, people wanted to be together and make sure everyone was safe. One good thing that happened after this is that people seemed to come together and were closer for a time.
  3. That's the part that got me too. I feel so bad for the people and families that lost loved ones on this horrific day. I don't think I could begin to imagine how they must feel. So sad.
  4. I was at work when one of my supervisors came over and said a plane crashed into one of the World Trade towers. At first we thought maybe it was a non-commercial single engine plane and that it was an accident. Then they reported that a second plane hit the other tower. That's when we realized we were under attack. We all went into the conference room and turned the news on. Then we learned of the attack on the pentagon and the crash in Pennsylvania. My mom called me at work crying and told me to come home immediately. We sat and watched the news the rest of the day in utter disbelief.
  5. Sounds like a pretty good man if you ask me. Way to go Jay Leno!
  6. Ahhhhh, so that's what that was. We went down a couple months ago and were trying to figure out what they were building there, there were no signs. We were thinking maybe another high rise complex but werent sure. Good to know.
  7. I've worked with people like that before. I hate it when there's people like that, sometimes it can disrupt the entire work environment. If they don't want to put forth the effort to do their job, there's plenty of people out there that would be more than happy to, especially right now!
  8. Haaaa! #runningtoduckandcover Btw, I'm young enough I could be ya'lls daughter!! sometimes I wish I was!
  9. It's sad when families feel they need to take legal action to justify the result of an accident such as this one. I'm sure Disney feels very bad about the whole situation. For the family to come after them and for their attorney to go so far as to say "They created a foreseeable zone of danger..." is just a bit too much.
  10. Hangin with you two!! Sounds like a night!! Gosh I love Pcom!
  11. Haaaaa!! Papi, I have never met you, but god love ya!! Can I come sit by you??
  12. Seems it would just be easiest to keep it Asiatic Raccoon. If that's what it's been since 1961, why change it?
  13. Yeah, I was wondering about that. Her daughters has a extra thumb on one of her hands?? Weird!?!
  14. Um, no it didn't. I listened to the podcast (which is basically a reiteration of the article) and unless I missed it, it never mentioned a thing about GMO's. That is the main reason i buy organic. Not because it could supposedly be more nutritional, not because of pesticide residue (which is a plus anyway), and not because of environmental issues. I would like to know whether or not there injecting some foreign substance, or who knows what, into the food that I consume. If people don't want to buy organic then fine that's there choice. Even though it never stated it, to me the article
  15. I would agree that some food manufacturers are using the "organic" stamp on there products for pure marketing, but not all things organic should be deemed as a marketing ploy. Most people arent buying organic for the higher nutritional value, they're buying it for what hasn't been added to it. Call me crazy, but I prefer my meat not to be washed in ammonia and my produce not be genetically modified. That's just my personal preference.
  16. Wow!! Do they have to have a culinary arts degree from a prestigious culinary arts school? That's incredible. Never seen anything like that before. Now I wish I had taken culinary classes in school!
