  1. Well I was going to recommend a place called Queen Anne's Revenge, which was actually located on Daniel island, but it has closed since we have been. It had excellent food! We also ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp while we were their and enjoyed it, but this is a huge tourist place so if you don't want that stay far far away. I absolutely love Charleston! Hope you have a good trip!!
  2. Well it's nice to hear of a doctor's office working so efficiently. I'm sorry you were not able to resolve the problem with your neck. I hope you can find an answer soon. Good luck!

  4. Visiting my dad on the hospital. He should be moving out of ICU and into a regular room on Monday. Woo-hoo!!
  5. We had a concrete pad about that size poured for our patio too. We used a company called Chumley's Paving located on Acworth and we were satisfied. They gave us a free estimate. If you do a search for them you should find all their information. You do not need a permit for this. As long as your not putting any structural element on it you're good to go.
  6. I've known plenty of college graduates that I would consider "dumb".
  7. Since some have been asking for an update, here is the information I received from my sister: Morning Update: Dad had a good quiet night. His oxygenation level has stayed up. His blood pressure is better- he's currently only on 1 medication instead of 2 to keep his BP up. The doctor said the chest Xrays looked better than he expected. Yay! He has a little bit of a fever which spiked at 102, but they have put ice packs on him and when I was in there his temp was at 101. The nurse said a fever is common after surgery, but they sent off bloodwork just to make sure there's no infection. The d
  8. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
  9. St. Joseph's. Thank you for your prayers.
  10. Ok guys. Really need the prayers now. Just got an update from the doctor. His oxygenation level is not where they want it to be. They had to collapse his lung to perform the surgery robotically. He has fluid on his lungs, and his lung has not gotten back to normal. They have had to keep him on sedation with a breathing tube. The next 24 hours are critical. This is not what I wanted to hear. I do not know if I'm strong enough for this.
  11. An update on my dad. Continued prayers are appreciated. Thank you for your support. We were able to go back and see him for a few minutes. He's still sedated and they are letting him wake up on his own which can take anywhere from 1-6 hours. The doctor said the surgery went well. There was a good bit of damage to the heartstrings and valve but they got it all fixed up. They also did the ablation to correct the atrial fibrillation. The doctor said his heartbeat is a little slow at the moment and if it doesn't pick up within the next 3 days or if he goes into atrial fib again, they will
  12. Thank you everyone. Rockysmom, I appreciate that. We have quite a large family. I know many will help in any way they can. I will definitely be helping him during his recovery both here at the hospital and when he gets home. I appreciate your generosity.
  13. Please keep my dad in your prayers this morning. He is having heart surgery to repair one of his heart valves today. Thank you.
  14. You guys are absolutely awesome for doing that! That is one of the best gifts you could give him! I'm sorry for the loss of your brother-in-law. I'm sure he would be proud of how you are taking care of his son.
