I had to do another search because the articles I posted had no mention of the bio mother. When Emani was a year old, her father attacked her bio mother in front of her. First of all, why the mother didn't take her daughter with her when she left the father is a mystery to me! Second, why would the father be granted custody if he has a history of abuse? I just don't get it. But what I really don't understand is why DFCS decided to give the girl back after her stepmother had been charged with abusing her. I'm just shaking my head.
