  1. Qualifying is not until the end of this month. This from the Hiram City web page: It is kind of hard to place a bet when no one knows who is in the race. pubby
  2. Zorro: I didn't go into the series of misogynistic statements like, conception doesn't happen in a rape because of some such (our own former Congressman) or that the 47 percent who receive government benefits (including your military retirement, btw) marks you as a taker in the world view of your leaders. (I know that they give you a bye for taking your monthly check because, well, you are justified because you're part of the grand plan to starve the beast.) But since you brought up Obama ... I mean the lies like "he can't be president because he wasn't born here, he's Kenyan" is a vic
  3. The Chamber building on 278 is owned by the chamber Whitey. ... always has been. I assume the confusion comes from the use of the downstairs as the commission meeting room. I think it may have been the chamber renting that space to the county because of a lack of a good place to meet. pubby
  4. And they've been horrible and HARSH; Here is one of Obama's: Barack Obama "What I have done -- and this is unprecedented ... is I've said to each agency ... 'look at regulations that are already on the books and if they don't make sense, let's get rid of them.'" The lie???? It is not unprecedented at all. Every elected official reviews - or ought to review rules and regulations as that is a key part of their job ... especially since corrupt government, by way of payoffs, often create disturbing rules that benefit a benefactor. pubby PS: One of Obama's fear mongering li
  5. There is nothing more harsh than a lie. pubby
  6. A Giant's giant, Frank Gifford who played for the NY-based football team and came into the homes of millions as a broadcaster on Monday Night Football died one week before his eighty-fifth birthday, today. pubby
  7. First, like I said, they aren't as good as Trump's ... And being relatively lazy, I went for the easy documentation ... i.e. the statements that these folks have said that have earned a 'pants on fire' rating from politifact: Here are pants on fire links for Huckabee, Santorum, Fiorina and Cruz, For instance, here is Ted Cruz in his one of several on that list: Ted Cruz ... Says the Democrats told the Catholic Church that they’ll use federal powers to shut down church charities and hospitals if the church doesn’t change its beliefs. I mean that is absolutely stupid and I don
  8. Hell, harsh language is the hallmark of most Republican candidates. Most on the right accept it as red meat. Examples would include: folks like Huckabee, Santorum, Fiorina, Cruz, etc. They're just not as good at it as Trump. pubby pubby
  9. Whitey: You're entitled to opinion but do recognize that your opinion is far from universal. For instance, you say the entire deal has been dishonest from the start? ... That is arguable. Your contention is based on the poor political skills of Todd who was, for reasons not tied to the airport, left out of the loop in the planning stages. This means the reality is a lot more nuanced. Now, I'll agree that the IBA and PCAA are not qualified to run a commercial airport ... but the truth is that is why they leased the thing to Propeller to run ... and that is what pissed off Delta
  10. Whitey: I think he anticipated a few more than that ... but If you anticipated only two flights a week, why were you against it ... because you wouldn't even notice it ... I mean that would work out to about 5 minutes total of landing and take-off noise out of 10,080 minutes in a week. pubby

The technical review versions early testers had did include a keylogger. The current version does involve some privacy invasion tools installed as a default if you link the version to a microsoft account. (I don't have one) The 'assistant' cortana is one of the tools that works (as well as the new browser Edge) to collect information that is used in the same way that google does. I've not upgraded as of this moment but I do intend to install additional browsers and not opt for Cortana or use edge or the included microsoft email client. Here is an article in the WSJ (blog) that det
  12. I honestly don't think 'the curse' was the source of the questions that Megan Kelly leveled at the Donald - it was Ailes. The questions were red meat for a red state audience that is more in tune with social issues that are far from the real issues facing the country and were no doubt chosen by Roger Ailes to make the cosmopolitan New Yorker (Trump) uncomfortable. The sad thing is that Trump knew this and he was just too much of a pussy to call Ailes on his slight of hand. pubby
  13. Yep, get in line and bend over ... seems to be something that even the county gets to do these days. That is the theme of this edition of the Pat and Patti Show which touches on the airport, the library, the debates and even includes a reference to the first case tried at the new court house. How that all ties together and what one Paulding Resident plans to do about it is this weeks show. Click for RECENT TOPICS click for RECENT TOPICS click for RECENT TOPICS
  14. Published on Aug 7, 2015 Paulding County Board of Commissioners Chairman David Austin presented his state of the county report to a packed crowd at the Paulding Chamber of Commerce first Thursday luncheon. Among other things he announced a provisional permit for the construction phase of the Richland Creek Reservoir and pointed to the small local but vocal minority propped up by backers from the City of Atlanta as impediments to local economic progress. 15. His parting challenge was vigilance ... using your nose as a BS detector: pubby
  16. It was cool when he got Springsteen to serenade him out of the building. pubby
  17. Actually boards of directors are about establishing policy, mojo, not micromanaging the entity. This was a contract execution issue and would be in the purview of the exec. director to do. The executive might call and inform a one or two board members if he felt there was any question about the issue but executing the provision isn't going to get them (The IBA) sued by them or by you folks. pubby
  18. Among the things that make you go hummmm ... No mention of Donald Trump after post 10 ... Was there a memo? pubby
  19. Actually, I think you confuse me with Marty McFly. pubby
  20. I do have other interests. Among those interests is not destroying reputations through lies and innuendo. In a sense, I feel like some of those crying wolf exhibit the veracity of Donald Trump in his questioning of Obama's birthplace. But hey, some of you folks have learned ... no ... been taught that this kind of attack, which can't be defended other than to say it is BS, is effective. And, of course, the task of tracking down the truth of all the BS being spewed, could take days of proper work ... and I've got other things to do, seriously. I'll investigate and report on what I
  21. I appreciate you commenting. I certainly don't know any of the facts associated with this ... and I'm certainly not certain of any of the other purported facts being bandied around. I know you would know about the concert in Dallas. pubby
  22. So sad to hear this... My prayers are with the family. pubby
  23. We are all in need of something ... starting with our next breath of air, dogs. Truely, a conservative can assert the value of a life and point to 'progressive' words set in print in 1624 ... which means that they have been a part of our culture for nearly four centuries. We really are 'all in this together.' pubby
