Sure you can get your liquor of Sunday's but make sure the store is open first. They kinda frown on that.

Child hit and killed after getting off of school bus
Georgia Dawg replied to boosmom13's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It doesn't really matter what the reason was why she hit the girl. She did it, and she has to take responsibility for her actions. Blaming it on something else accomplishes nothing. She needs to pay for her crime. Any jail time will be for punishment, not for rehabilitation. -
I don't think I've ever told my kids that. I think every generation has wanted their kids to have it better than they had it. Sadly, it looks like this isn't going to happen for another generation or two. I have implied that college would help you get a better job because the education you receive in high school isn't good enough anymore. However, what was taught in high school 30 years ago surpasses what is being taught in college now. College today is more political-based than it is education-based (e.g. college credits in Alabama for attended an OWS rally). I think I would suggest a high sc

We cut Japan totally off from oil and scrap metal. At the time they were getting 90% of there oil from us and nearly all there steel from us. What would Roosevelt have done if the tables were turned? Although Japans sneak attack was cowardly, they did have a reason to threaten war. Out of the war that arose from FDR's refusal to meet Japanese PM Prince Konoye, before December 7, 1941, came scores of thousands of U.S. dead, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, the fall of China to Mao Zedong, U.S. wars in Korea and Vietnam, and the rise of a new arrogant China. Our Dear Elected Leaders decided that war was pr

What was this Flight Attendant's Problem

Typical Liberal who doesn't believe rules apply to him. -
So if they take the vehicle home they have to wash it too?

At least now you won't have to worry about going to Church sober anymore.

Often it is timed closer to the date of your closing since that is when the original estimate of escrow reserves was determined. I would believe that most banks would do the review throughout the year instead of just one particular time of year due to manpower reasons. Kind of the same reasoning to changing tag renewals to birthdate instead of March 30 every year like they used to.

Under their new definition, I don't see this display as protected free speech, but rather a Hate Crime punishable under current law.

I guess they are going to ban Dogwoods too and have them all chopped down.

Does it really surprise anyone that the Federal Government has a problem trying to run any agency in an efficient, cost-effective manner? Can you name any program or agency that the Federal Government does a great job in running? I didn't think so... Another example of government waste: The Department of Energy was instituted on 8/4/1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. (that worked out well for us, right?) 34 years later, the budget for this necessary department is at $24.2 Billion a year and has over 16,000 federal employees and about 100,000 contract employees. If Cong

Actually the sledge hammer isn't a bad idea. Just behind that glossy glass is a matt finish glass that won't reflect any glare. Try it and tell us what you find out.

U.S. jobless rate drops to lowest in 2 1/2 years
Georgia Dawg replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It was refreshing to read LPPT infer that the government can't get us out of this poor economy - only small businesses can. Now, if only the rest of the Obama administration would wake up and see the light too. -
Be careful the next time you think it would be wise to videotape an encounter with Police with your cell phone. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/82069437/

I have to agree with Riptides. If you smear Vaseline all over the TV screen it will help, but to complete the job you need to lightly sprinkle baby powder onto the Vaseline on the TV. That will definitely do the job. That also works for your toliet tank that is sweating and dripping water on the floor. Stay tuned for other uses for Vaseline and Baby Powder.

U.S. jobless rate drops to lowest in 2 1/2 years

People usually give up looking this time of year since most businesses are only hiring temporary or seasonal workers. Most businesses will start hiring after the first of the year. The unemployment numbers are always skewed because they don't tell the whole story. When people stop looking for work and the rate goes down who can say that's a good thing? When you were hoping on getting a 5% raise and you only got a 3% raise - did you still get an increase or did you get a cut? (Yes, the current administration calls it a cut) When the government gives you a job for a month, and the -

Murray might not get the jail time he deserves but the judge is going to call for restitution - MJ's lost wages for that last tour - of around $100 million. At least Murray won't be able to make any money off of this.

All you black Friday shoppers should be ashamed
Georgia Dawg replied to bvrat5199's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yeah, getting everyone not to buy gas on a particular day does nothing but move the demand and make it peak. If you could actually get people to park their cars and not drive for a week - then you've done something. Retail has been counting on Christmas sales starting the Friday after Thanksgiving for many, many years. It's nothing new. Many retailers make a major portion of their annual revenues in those few weeks. If consumers buy big then the retailers have the ability to maintain payrolls over the spring, summer and fall - in anticipation for the next Christmas season. -

If you don't want to work Sundays go work at Chik-Fil-A or a liquor store. People make their career choices - they aren't 'made' to work those types of jobs that are often open on holidays. I do like those businesses that will allow their Jewish employees to work on Christmas where there is a need. Maybe they should only let Muslims work on Thanksgiving.
