But, but, but, ZC said the economy was getting better...

I know why the middle class is shrinking

The more people you can convince that they are poor or low income earners, the more likely they are that they'll vote Democrat because of the history of that party taking money from those who have done well and made good decisions and giving to others. It's all about political power. Perception and Propaganda are keys to that power. -
Apparently they haven't read other posts on this site talking about a living wage, since they are now classifying someone making $21.64 an hour as low income.

If the world of Wally Paid its 1.4 Million U.S. Workers a Living Wage,

You should also go after Sears, since years ago they were the ones who started firing all of their full time employees to only replace them lower paid part time employees. People who can't cover food and shelter with their pay from a 40 hour a week job typcially do one of three things (there may be more): 1) Work a second job, 2) Go to school during their off time to improve their skills and thus their marketability, or 3) have another child so they can draw another welfare check. -
Technology offers a blinking light and an annoying beaping noise to get you to fasten your seatbelt. Sure, a technological fix is about as stupid an answer as imaginable. Please stop your name calling.

What? Are you not using those Exlax chocolates to flavor your coffee? I thought everyone did...

Turkey hotdogs are 50% fat. It's the CALORIES from fat that is in the 50% range. The percentage of fat in a turkey hotdog is lower than 20% in most brands. 97% Fat Free Beef Franks get only 25% of the calories from fat.

Companies will pay their workers based on the value of the work. It would make no sense for Walmart to pay a much higher wage to a clerk if their competition is paying a lower wage for that same position. As with any position you can review many web sites (e.g. salary.com) that record what a job position is worth in the open market. You will often not get paid more than what your value is in that position. -
Since laws don't work should government use technology to enforce certain behaviors? There is technology the could be used to broadcast a speed limit signal from each speed limit sign. Cars could be equipped to receive the signal and prevent speeds in excess of that limit. Is that what society needs or wants?

Sparkles parking lot. Sit and wait for perps to break into cars.

3 seconds in good weather, 6 seconds at night, inclement weather or heavy traffic, and 9 seconds in heavy rain, fog or snow. However, anytime you leave that much space between you and the car in front of you, someone is going to move in between you and them. BTW, I've never been at fault in an accident and I've been driving for almost 40 years. You and I both know that most drivers these days got their licenses at Sears & Roebuck. (Yeah, they won't get it)

If you can figure out how to jam only the cell phone for the driver then it would be great. Others in the car shouldn't have to ride with their phones jammed. Maybe some kind of proximity jammer with the steering wheel...

If the dump truck you were following was in a 45 mph speed limit zone you should have been 198 feet minimum behind that vehicle - following the 3 second rule. Any closer and you could be charged with following too close. The 3 second rule applies for all speed limits.
-
Everyone tail gates. When was the last time you drove the correct safe distance at highway speeds? Do you follow the 3 second rule? If I wrote the APP correctly it would require the account owner's password to disable the app.

I think all iPhone manufacturers should come up with an app that will disable the texting on a device when the device is moving faster than 5 mph. That would be so easy to do and should be a mandatory app on every phone. http://news.yahoo.com/driver-sent-got-11-texts-11-min-crash-151619850.html

Yeah, that's what I mean. I'm getting 31.25 mbps with no issues. Since I work from home I need solid, fast, dependable service - and DSL isn't.And mine isn't Comcast.
-
I don't know if I could ever stand DSL. That would seem like going back to dial up speeds.

I surely hope that the Dallas, Hiram and Paulding County Sheriffs departments are coming down on the pawn shops as well. There were a couple of pawn shops in Dallas and one in Hiram who were turning the goods (especially the gold) as quickly as they could (without holding it the mandatory length of time) and we not keeping photographic records on the stuff the crooks were bringing them. The DA doesn't want to prosecute the pawn shops because every once in a great while they will help law enforcement and they don't want to bite the hands that feeds them occasionally. Must be a good racket for t

But, but, but.... The 99% don't have to play by those rules.... -
One question that usually needs a bit of thought before answering: Why should I hire you over the other candidates? When you respond to questions of the interviewer make sure to allow them to complete their question before you start to answer. Most interviewers don't appreciate people you tend to talk over them.
