  1. I have to agree. It's almost to the point that I will simply just ignore any topic that this certain person posts, or comments on because it will continue to be useless dribble.
  2. This saying is used a lot by the nurses at the breast augmentation center... "We're making Mountains Out Of A Molehills."
  3. My first job was an In-Process-Inventory Coordinator at Firestone tire plant in Albany, GA, supervising 18 fork lift drivers. I held other jobs there during my 10 years with them, but stayed with Firestone until they closed in 1985.
  4. One of the guys who heads up some of the forums on LinkedIn that I've joined told me that they're having a problem with a lot of recruiters posting jobs and the jobs don't actually exists - the recruiter is just collecting resumes...
  5. Everytime I hear that term I think of this song. There's a lot of truth in the lyrics. "Over the border, there lies the Promised Land. Where everything comes easy, you just hold out your hand!"
  6. Here's is the announcement fro Homeland Security... My link To paraphrase this announcement... Janet Napolitano is setting forth how, in the exercise of prosecutorial discretion [re: we decide which laws we'll enforce and which laws we won't] , should enforce the Nation's immigration laws against certain young people [illegal aliens] who were brought into this country [or climbed over the fence under their own power] and know only this country [and the country of their birth] as home.... As long as they came here under the age of 16 [and of course every one probably did] , have
  7. Well if you're under 30 and out of job, good luck at finding one now. Obama has basically declared amnesty for every illegal alien under 30 and will not enfore the laws passed by Congress that would detain and deport them. I guess the running joke among illegal aliens now will be the same as it is for every American woman.... "Me? Oh, I'm only 29"
  8. So, you're saying mrnn was wrong... again. Don't surprise me none...
  9. "The United States has regained less than 3.8 million, or 43 percent, of the 8.8 million jobs lost during and immediately after the recession. " The Associated Press.
  10. The low prices on foreclosures would be a great deal as long as the condition of the home is still in decent shape. However, the reason a lot of foreclosures are at rock bottom prices is because the homes are falling apart, have had a lot of their systems/appliances removed, in some cases vandals have removed a lot of the sheetrock to get at the copper wiring. I was talking to one realtor about the low prices on some foreclosures and I was told one of those 'great deal' had no sheet rock, no wiring, and no floor coverings. It was basically a shell that would need thousands and thousands of dol
  11. A shortened summer season does have its impact on the tourism industry. However, I guess a benefit of it is that August is becoming more of an 'adults only' summer month for tourist destinations.
  12. Just wow... Indiana Law Allows Citizens to Shoot at Police
  13. I guess you didn't listen to the judge's ruling. He put him back in jail because he had a 'second' passport that he didn't tell the court or his attorney about. Either way, even without the passport issue, his wife being charged with perjury has nothing to do with whether he is guilty of the murder charges.
  14. I didn't say that and you know it. It's just like you wouldn't see EVERY white student return that scholarship money either. Get over yourself, Zoo...
  15. Not racist at all. It's the culture. Japanese culture is also different.
  16. The charges are really unrelated. But you know how some people will try to make that leap to connect them.
  17. I can bet if there was a $1,000 Rosenberg scholarship that was intended for Jewish students, but didn't specifically disallow non-Jewish students from applying, and it was won by some black student; I doubt we'd see him do the 'right thing' and return the money. Just saying....
  18. Why, thank you. And I have to say, you did an excellent job on my weed eaters and leaf blowers.
  19. What will be interesting is the number of people who will have their opinion influenced over Zimmerman's guilt or innocence because of his wife's perjury charge.
  20. I have a Canon PowerShot SX20IS that I absolutely love. It's 12.1 MP. It uses standard AA batteries that I've only changed once. The 8GB SD card still has every picture that I've taken on it, even though I've transferred most to my PC harddrive, but I just haven't erased them from the card. I really love this Canon better than any camera I've ever had.
  21. Has Guard Dad been eating multiple bowls of beans again???
  22. You can use Skype for free as long as it is PC to PC. There are also many other Instant Messenger products (Windows Live Messenger, Lync, etc) that have web cam functionality.
  23. Residents attending town meeting in Middleborough on Monday night were scheduled to vote on whether to impose a $20 fine for public swearing. Officials insist the proposal, offered by the town's police chief, is not intended to censor casual or private conversations, but instead crack down on loud, profanity-laden language used by teens and other young people in the downtown area and public parks. "They'll sit on the bench and yell back and forth to each other with the foulest language. It's just so inappropriate," said Mimi Duphily, a store owner and former town selectwoman. Duphily,
  24. While it's a funny comment, I've found out a whole lot about Methodist (born and raised Baptist) that goes against many of my fundamental beliefs. We've attended a Methodist church for almost a year. My wife likes the people and the pastor, but I have issues with the church. We'll see where this goes...
