All Scranton, PA, Employees Cut to Minimum Wage
Georgia Dawg replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Without a consensus on the issue I guess the Mayor made the tough decision. Given a choice, if you were the CEO of a company or a Mayor of a township and the revenue wasn't there to support your current payroll expenses (remember, only the US government can print money), would you: 1) Give everyone a paycut to keep everyone employed, or 2) Fire 2/3 of your employees in order to keep paying the remaining employees their normal salary? -
Some will say that Gay people DO victimize others, especially the children that they adopt...

I don't know of anyone who would want themselves or a loved one to be treated by our justic system in the same manner. The judge has an agenda. Perhaps we wants to get appointed to the 9th circuit. :good:

I'm sure there's someone on P.com who has gotten White-out on their computer screen before that might be able to tell you...

Well Nancy Pelosi said the quickest way to create jobs was to provide more food stamps and unemployment benefits. I'm looking forward to all of those Pelosi jobs in Georgia....

Yeah, I thought we were talking about lines from Airplane. I was expecting someone to follow my comment with something like... "I love the part where the auto pilot was smoking a cigarette afterwards..." But I guess you had to see the movie...

In Florida, they've actually reduced the number of DMV employees and they've had these new requirements in place for a while. When I went down to get my license, I had everything I needed and it only took a few minutes. I was actually in and out in less time than when I was renewing in person in Georgia.

I wonder how much of the delay in line is due to the people not having the proper documentation needed and having to be told (again and again) what they need to bring.

Who needs a tarp when you've got duct tape!!!! Actually I could see this being a greater youth event: 4 pickup trucks backed up to each other, tail gates duct taped and beds filled with water. And then if it happened to get boring later (which I would doubt) they can ride around the neighborhood in their "mobile hot tubs"!

It took about a week before that 5% increase in crude oil prices from last Friday got through the supply chain...

If so, it might be '42' which is being filmed now. Looks like the majority of the film work is being done in Macon, Chattanooga, and Birmingham. It's about the life story of Jackie Robinson and his history-making signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers under the guidance of team executive Branch Rickey.

I'm finding more and more that you'll see job postings with college degree or equivalent experience. The experience of the high school grad was in supervisory, supply chain planning, and management positions. The guy with a PhD was basically a career student and teacher, but had no applicable experience to the consulting industry he was being considered for. In a lot of cases today, a degree is really needed because the quality of our high schools is so poor. What people learned 30 years ago in high school is what they are teaching today in college. Of course, college is not for everyon

She was probably trying to blame something she did on someone else before she got home and had to explain it to her husband.

I took two consultants to interview with a client for a consulting assignment. One had a Phd, lots of education, and very little actual work experience. The other was a high school valedictorian, no college degree, but over 20 years of work experience and 10 year consulting experience. Each was to be billed out at $275 per hour. The client did not choose the guy with the Phd. They said it was actually a very easy decision.

And for the top 2 you have to take into consideration of paying back all of their student loans, paying malpractice insurance, paying rent on a building and salaries for office staff, (at least for those in private practice) and the money isn't all that great.

And Sting Ray City near Grand Cayman is one place we took our children and grandchildren to swim and feed wild sting rays. And yes, they all still had their stingers. We also snorkeled with sharks there, it just depends on the type of sharks they are...

I believe Mediums are real good and reading people's reaction and voice to see if what they are saying is resonating with them. The only faith healer that almost made it was Oral Roberts. He actually had a faith healing record out one time, but it didn't catch on too well since the center hole in the album kept healing over....
