http://news.yahoo.com/jack-hanlon-actor-gang-films-dies-nev-031859192.html Tommy Bond, who played Butch in the Little Rascals, visited Midway Elementary School when I was little. I don't remember Jack Hanlon specifically but he sounds like a survivor.

Well, all students go through the front doors. Just as I mentioned getting buzzed in lets say a student forgot his or her ID. The could access a panel and speak to the front office. The front office would either look through a window or camera and then unlock the door fro a student. That student would have to stop by the front office to report a lost or stolen badge and that info recorded. Maybe even disable that badge for that day and reset it or reissue another one. I have entered schools where they sign in. Bullet proof glass would be the best idea for everyone involved. It is just a s

I think even a sheep gets tired of babble. This post is a perfect example of whats going on. You label people conformists because they are not going along with your posts. You still haven't explained your connection to Thomas Jefferson. You and Jefferson are polar opposites.

I was wondering how expensive it would be for students. All students to have access cards for school, class, gym, etc. Simply put if you are a registered student in the Paulding County school system you get an ID/Access card. Just like I use at work as employee ID to access the building so would a student. They would uses his or her ID to enter and be responsible to keep with at all times. Of course cards could be duplicated or stolen but with effective managemnt it is possible. I was a contractor for Dell Computers and I worked at many schools in Dekalb, Fulton, Hall and Heard counties a

The other was Samuel "Champ" Ferguson. Ferguson was a Confederate Guerrilla who admitted to killing more that 100 people, mostly civilians, who were sympathetic to the Union. He was tried for 53 murders and on October 10, 1865, was convicted and sentenced to death. He was hanged on October 20, 1865. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Were_the_Confederate_soldiers_punished_after_the_Civil_War_ended Why Only Wirz? http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/Wirz/cont2.htm There has been a drive to forgive Henry Wirz R. Postman has a good post here. Sherman tried to cover up some of what he was doing in South Carolina and in Georgia in his later Memoirs. David Conyngham mentioned above was a Union Soldier. I am sorry I cant share the Paulding County part of this story but Picketts Mill was an inspiration to the author Karen Rozar Hamilton. I wanted to share this because her thesis is not an everyday find. I had to order it from West Georgia. I will keep searching for Paulding County info. This book/thesis is very interesting. It tells about the the war from the the refugee citizen perspective. It mentioned th -

The Union Occupation of Bartow County, Ga May - November 1864 by Karen Rozar Hamilton. Page 23 Three homes in Cassville burned including Warren Aiken's, David Conyngham observed," For several days a most disgraceful scene of rifling houses, breaking up furniture, ripping up bedticks, and after making a general mess of things, then firing the house ensued." In one particular instance, Conyngham was passing a home when he witnessed this scene. " The yard was covered with the debris of furniture, beds and bedding; dead poultry and pigs lay around, while soldiers were making desperate

What Can We As a Society Do About These Horrible Tragedies?

Of course the theater shooter not only had guns but explosives as well. A group of terrorists on 9/11 used a plane to murder people. No matter how many terrorists or criminals pop up how much of your personal freedom are you gonna give them. Are you going to turn to the Government to protect you? We have the internet and technology. Protection and school needs to start at home anyway. Why not offer vouchers to pull kids from school and let them learn from home. -
