If you go to the bridge on Highway 41 over the Etowah River facing the older pylons on a clear water day you can see the turtles walking down stream underwater.

OH Well kids will have to choose between milk or a more affordable sugary soft drink. http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2012/12/28/udder-neglect.html Lost in the “fiscal cliff” debate is debate about a new farm bill. Lacking new farm legislation, some people think the prices of milk, cheese and ice cream will double or triple next year. And given the fiscal-cliff standoff, Washington isn’t inspiring a lot of confidence in its ability to address such pocketbook issues. But others say that even if legislators fail to act on the farm bill, a spike in dairy prices next

Georgia Town Ordering Gun Ownership Undaunted by Massacre
barrycdog replied to barrycdog's topic in RECENT TOPICS
How do you pull that off? It seems the liberal media would jump on Kennesaw whenever something happens? -
We didn't expect Obama would get reelected either. Liberals always raise a red flag. When it comes to the 2nd Amendment would you put your faith in the GOP to protect it?

Debt Limit of $16.39 Trillion Will Be Met New Year's Eve http://cnsnews.com/news/article/geithner-debt-limit-1639-trillion-will-be-met-new-years-eve Geithner said “extraordinary measures” taken by the Treasury Department could create approximately $200 billion in headroom under the debt limit. “Under normal circumstances, that amount of headroom would last approximately two months,” he said. “However, given the significant uncertainty that now exists with regard to unresolved tax and spending policies for 2013, it is not possible to predict the effective duration of these measures

"Gun buybacks are proving so popular that U.S. Rep. Gerald Connolly, D-Va., and Ted Deutch, D-Fla., have asked Congress to set aside $200 million for gun buyback programs, saying that amount could remove “one million guns from our streets.” http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/12/27/16178236-guns-flood-into-police-buyback-programs-though-critics-have-doubts-about-the-idea?lite The real beauty of the GUN Buyback program is you and I are paying for it.

All you can say is "It Works For Austria." Maybe some folks will join the mass exodus there and can have comfort in knowing they wont be plagued with sugary drinks and assault weapons.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-12-21/georgia-town-ordering-gun-ownership-undaunted-by-massacre.html Kennesaw, Georgia, is a quiet Atlanta suburb of newer subdivisions and strip malls around a huddle of older homes and storefronts. It is asking churches to ring their bells 26 times today for the victims of last week’s elementary school massacre in Connecticut. And it has no plans to change a law requiring residents to own guns. Have you ever wondered why Kennesaw is a QUIET Atlanta suburb?

This is probably not news Sen. Vincent Fort is one of the senators to push an assault weapons ban. Definitely keep an eye on what he is up to in the coming year.

The problem may be the facts a liberal will accept. Look closer at Zoos article. For starters its 90.1 FM Public Radio. A government funded site. of course there is not bias here. Lets look at this useless pointless biased blather.. "While eight-percent unemployment sounds like a favorable trend for the region, it might not tell the whole story. Why?" The frustrated and underemployed. At the federal level, it’s known about how many people get fed up and stop looking for a job. And we also get a sense of how many jobs are part-time and seasonal. " The article reminds former m

http://www.ajc.com/news/news/local/audit-georgia-driver-records-system-flawed/nTgP9/ Georgia also allows license suspensions for DUI offenses to be wiped off of driver records if the charge does not result in a conviction. That is contrary to federal law, which considers deleting such license suspensions as “masking.” A federal law enacted this past summer requires this issue to be resolved by 2015, auditors reported. “At current funding levels, approximately $30 million could be at risk,” the audit says.

That's OK. The important thing is to respond to your rep and senator when the bill is introduced. The bill number is not out there or maybe it is since it is a renewed ban. I will keep searching. This is one of the reasons I am not a fan of the NRA. When you see a bill attacking your 2nd Amendment rights don't wait for the NRA to tell you who to respond to and then ask for a donation. You respond yourself. Politicians tend to ignore you unless you are part of a group that targets them individually. Remember politicians reply to two stimuli PAIN and PLEASURE. Pleasure is somethin

Quotes from Thomas Jefferson "The right of the people to keep and bear arms has been recognized by the General Government; but the best security of that right after all is, the military spirit, that taste for martial exercises, which has always distinguished the free citizens of these States....Such men form the best barrier to the liberties of America" - (Gazette of the United States, October 14, 1789.) "No Free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." (Thomas Jefferson, Proposal Virginia Constitution, 1 T. Jefferson Papers, 334,[C.J.Boyd, Ed., 1950]) "And what country can p

The M-16 can be easily modified to go full auto. There are plans online. One thing about the school massacre and the others is most of these attacks were well thought out. The mind behind them was no doubt some sort of crazy but they were of a mind of wanting to hurt someone. There are many debates here about legislating morality. How do you legislate evil? Lets face it there are some hateful people who would like nothing more than to hurt someone. Think about the Norway Shootings In Norway gun ownership is common; violence and homicide are not. The nation of about 4.9 million residents
