  2. I worked at a K-Mart in Cartersville for security standing at the door checking customers when the buzzer went off. One day I came in early and they had no one else watching and saw a guy pass the registers with a buggy load of tools and stuff. I followed him out the door and grabbed the buggy amd asked if he was going to pay for that. He threw up his hands and walked away. I brought the buggy back in. There was another kid who would come in walk around the store and leave. I knew he carried out something but I could not stop him.
  3. Alleged shoplifter dies after being subdued by Walmart workers The Black Friday shopping weekend apparently took a tragic turn early Sunday morning when an alleged shoplifter died while being apprehended by employees and a contract security officer outside a Lithonia Walmart. Two associates who helped catch and subdue the suspect before police arrived have been placed on leave; the security officer who police say may have placed the suspected thief in a choke hold, is no longer working for Walmart. When police arrived, they found the trio on top of the man. An officer who handcuffed the

They were part of the inspiration for her painting “Barbie Marilyn,” which sold for about $15,000 at auction. The other inspiration was artist Andy Warhol." My question is why aren't the schools paying my daughter for her art instead of putting it on a key chain and trying to sell it to me. My daughter paints for me anytime.

A 28 is also expected in Cornelia but the further north you go, AccuWeather.com is forecasting temperatures that are well-below freezing... a 21 in Blairsville, 22 in Clayton, and 20 in Blue Ridge. Many of these mountain regions experienced their first freeze several weeks ago. Daytime highs over the weekend are expected to be in the 40s and 50s across north Georgia. But the cold

  13. The story begins in a quiet little town in Georgia at Buck's neighborhood hardware and feed store. Buck's was the only real store in town with no Wal-Mart to compete with. They had everything hunting and fishing supplies, snacks, tools, automotive parts, etc. etc. Buck's was so popular that most of the townsfolk would hang out and talk about the news, weather, play checkers and visit with each other on a regular basis. Buck, the owner, enjoyed the company and sold fresh coffee and maybe a biscuit or two for the patrons. It was enjoyable helping the customers needs with home and farm repairs. A
  14. My daughter has the DSI and has had sever DS charger for both inside the house and outside in the car. From what I have seen online it maybe the battery and may be cheaper to replace it even though the dealer says its OK. They also sell a cheap outlet checker too that will test the outlet connections like the ground or neutral. It might be easier to try a different receptacle preferably one that is not near a microwave, laser printer or a heavy load. I have seen receptacles in the bathroom burnt up from constant use of the blow dryer. Try one where a lamp or light load is.

  18. Andersonville was a town 2 miles south west from Acworth, Georgia and it was named for a Chuck Anderson that made state coaches. His home served as a stage coach area and post office and was located near what it called Butler Creek in Acworth. When the railroad came he moved his business to Marietta and what was known as Andersonville P.O. was gone. Acworth was also known as the Hightower district " Land of the Whispering Winds" to the Cherokee Indians and one Indian Proctor cried when they wanted to send him away. He wanted to stay with his friends there. Acworth, Georgia, from Cheroke
  19. Opinion ... First is we are all cousins just that some of us are 150 times removed. It is a small world after all and it only takes a little looking to reconnect. Some childhood friends are probably within stones or pumpkins throw of you. Try Genealogy and you will find this out. If you don't think so just Google or search names on Facebook and you can find many people you remember. Next is perception for example the way my 9 year old remembers events that happened are different from her older sisters and her mothers. The remember things from their perception. The stories you describ
