Oh honey, do they ever! A check is just easier. Gift cards and just sending a gift right from a website are other options. New York weddings are pretty much a blast. My husband was blown away. He still remembers and talks about it.

If you care about them and want to express that sentiment, send a little something, something. (checks are always good, if you like, send them a gift card) If you're not real close send them something anyway. Its hard to mainain a family relationship being far away. I get that. Anyway, if you got an invite...you kinda, sorrta, are obligated to send something just to keep the peace, trust me....it's a whole lot easier. Sounds like they are spending big bucks on this wedding.

I spoke to one of my sisters who lives in Bethpage which is on Long Island. Her house is in the middle of LI so it's OK as far as flood damage. She still has no power, she was told it will be tomorrow. Her kids, 3 of which are police officers, have been in Manhatten and Staten Island pretty much since this happened. My neice, who lives in Howard Beach had to leave her house and move her family to her inlaws who are in Middle Village. Her house, which they moved into two months ago is a mess.
