    I would think that the folks in Smithtown are in the same boat as people in bethpage and surrounding areas. Hope Reesy and her family are OK too.

    Yes, I think she is in Mineola. My sister is in bethpage, which is pretty much in the middle of the island. Thanks Low.

    Spoke to my sister in Long Island, the island is devastated. Trees down, no power...it's pretty bad there.

    I agree. They are not used to dealing with weather like we are. That's the only excuse I have for my neice and nephew. Very few people have left though, somehow that makes me feel better. They won't wait for first responders, they will help one another.

    I'm worried about the rural areas more so than the densely populated areas. My family is in the more densely populated area. They all will help each other.

    Well, I spoke to my nephew at around noon, he had a foot and a half outside his house. Just spoke to him again and now it's at five feet. All sea water. Told him to get out of dodge yesterday. His response? Nah...we'll be fine. Still trying to get in touch with my niece. I love and adore them but.......... Oops, they are both in Howard Beach.

    Not to the extent that happened to you. Sorry, not willing to spread the bs on the Internet.....not how I roll (for lack of a better description) ....I consider it a matter that I took care of. Its not good karma. Take care of your business and move on....it works better.

    Been there, done freaking all of it. I was even in their different hells. All I can say, leave it for another day cause the tearing your hair out, gashing your teeth till they are nubs and looking at family members and/or pets asking yourself who/what would be the easiest to kill isn't the right day. Seriously. Good luck.

    I'm trying to follow this case and to be honest, after seeing the interview, I don't know what to think. I want to see more of the case going forward. At the end of the day, it's just a mind numbing sad case, no matter what comes out.
