I have not heard about this helicopter crash - very sad............... As for La Cocina - what in the heck are they doing? To add insult to injury, their food is really good, the atmosphere is decent, the servers are decent, etc. Guess I really don't want to know what is behind the scenes huh? I hope they can get it together as it appears they have the nucleus of a good restaurant if they work at it.

Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong but I believe this was 2 totally different groups heading up these events.

I dearly love French onion soup and yours sounds incredible! We had pulled pork barbeque sandwiches, homemade Brunswick stew and butterscotch delight for dessert. Not the most elaborate of meals but it was good with the rainy weather.

I agree. I am quite sure they were "testing the waters" and now that they know there was a substantial amount of interest, I'm sure they will plan accordingly for the next event. You learn a lot during the first trial run and I feel sure this event will get better each and every time. We were at the PCHS football game Friday night and talked to lots of people that attended prior to the game and they all had positive things to say. It appears the City of Dallas officials were in full support of this event and that it was well attended. I hope they will continue to have events like

That I will heed my beloved Dad's advice and celebrate the life he has lived instead of grieving when he passes away. My Dad is in end stages congestive heart failure and is ready for hospice or a similar program. They were filming again yesterday in the area Tremendous number of people there and being utilized as extras. Love that this is providing some people in our community an extra source of temporary income and that area businesses are financially benefiting from this endeavor. Someone involved with the production told me that dinner was catered night before last by a local barbeque restaurant - that was a lot of people for them to feed and I'm sure they loved it! Lots of positive things happening in our community - very exciting to watch!

She was in pain and that is so sad. Seems to be a very mature, loving, caring little girl. The little baby brother was so cute too and looked rather amused and confused at the same time by his sister's actions. Precious babies!

I guess it depends on your overall outlook. I have never watched MTV in my entire life nor do I intend to; however, I witnessed first hand yesterday (simply because my office is right there where it was filmed), how much hard work, effort and community involvement goes into these productions. It was quite exciting! Great day on the square in Dallas today and what fun to watch (even while I was working). The actors and actresses for this MTV production were super nice and very excited about filming in Dallas. The place was buzzing with activity - businesses all over the area benefiting from the filming of this production.
