Ours have been in the ground about a year. We keep the dead blooms clipped but no other maintenance. Probably should fertilize but they're doing great without it!

Our tooth fairy leaves $1 and a pack of sugar-free gum. I know of others that get more for each tooth but we set the bar low on our first one and that's where it'll stay for all 3. Just makes it easier... and cheaper.

I've used grape jelly and ketchup. Sounds weird but turned out great after simmering in the crockpot!!

We were there with another family from Paulding! Had a great time and enjoyed the cooler temps!

We're off Austin Bridge and trick-or-treated tonight. I have a question for everyone... do YOU give out candy if older kids aren't dressed up? I've heard some people say there should be an age limit to trick-or-treating but my rule of thumb is "no costume, no candy". I made a group of kids unhappy tonight but I don't get just grabbing a Kroger bag and running out the door in something you'd wear to school. At least make at attemp. Is it just me??? Come on... it's HALLOWEEN!!!!! What happened to all the costumes???

Just out of curiousity... does the $35 concession fee go towards paying someone to work the concession stand so parents don't have to?

Joseph McKeown in Douglasville is wonderful. He works out of his home and is off Chapel Hill Rd, just behind Target. He's cheaper than the salons and truly loves what he does! He's up on all the new trends/colors and cuts .... I could go on and on!!!

Makes me feel better that it's not just our house. Wow. We don'teven know where to begin!!! There's no place to sit (unless you want a Barbie, nerf dart or Bakugan enema...), not an inch of counter space in the kitchen that isn't layered with stuff (and not food/kitchen items!) and toys are everywhere. Boxes are gone. That was what we accomplished today!! I'm chilling and letting the kids enjoy the chaos. Won't last long- it's driving me nuts... I'll need a pill by tomorrow! - I read another post about taking down Christmas trees and decorations. Their house must not look like ours

Not sure if this was related to the sirens you heard but someone from Barrington Chase subdivision got life flighted. Helicopter was waiting in field off of Austin Bridge, going towards Ridge Rd.

That's what we're having tonight! I cheat and use the little brown bag. We add Fritos, cheese and sour cream and the kids love it! Perfect day for it!

They're all over our neighborhood right now. Looking for a young girl???

I just moved (saved) one of these off our driveway today. I've never seen one before and, at first, thought it was a snake!!! I'm happy it was a worm!

We just got back from Gatlinburg last night- stayed at Bay Breeze through a time share. Very nice and within walking distance of a pancake house (not on the main strip but across the street from Bay Breeze...) and all the shops. We got stuck in Pigeon Forge Sat afternoon because of a car show??? Took an hour and a half to go SEVEN miles. Someone told us NEXT weekend is the real weekend for the cars- that same stretch thought PF will take 3-4 hours.... for 7 miles!!!!

When our kids have friends over, we treat them as we would our own. It doesn't bother me at all to have our friends reprimand our kids if it's necessary.

Does anyone know how far the trails at White Oak are? I've only been to the playground and can't find any info on the trail(s).
