  1. It means the user needs to spend less time on the internet and more time developing an actual life
  2. Just because you type several paragraphs littered with wise sounding words doesn't mean you've imparted wisdom on someone. Our not understanding your point isn't indicative of our stupidity. It means you aren't getting your point across. At all. Ever. Consistently. You seem to want to share your wisdom, but you either lack it, or don't have the prerequisite skills to communicate it. Its painful to watch. You should go Google wise quotes, and copy and paste the ones that you like. You'll find that the wisest quotes are usually the shortest... and readers will generally agree with them.
  3. Actually its up to a HALF BILLION now http://www.foxnews.mobi/quickPage.html?page=22995&external=1824103.proteus.fma I can't even imagine
  4. Agreed. Camera stores have been doomed for a long time. I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did.
  5. I've participated in a couple of funerals with them, but I'm not a member. Its a good cause.
  6. My son and I went to JC Penney on the motorcycle and went through three pretty hard areas of rain on the way back to S Paulding. We're soaked.
  7. Its mandated that we send our children to school, and we're required to pay taxes into the school system. The way I see it, school supplies are just a clever way to make us pay taxes twice on the same thing. If my child is required to pay for supplies so attend mandatory school, those supplies are a tax. Incredibly, when you buy the supplies you're taxed again in the form of sales tax. Pretty good racket if you ask me.
  8. My take on the whole thing is that if the tax dollars we pay for education were better managed this wouldn't be an issue at all.
  9. Odd complaint, but I don't like the lighting in there. The combination of overhead fluorescent lighting and sparse decor makes it feel like I'm eating at Dollar General. Really? What do you think is going to happen?
  10. Die hard fan here. I've been to Mayberry Days in Mt Airy, eaten at the Snappy Diner, met Charlene Darling... I've watched that show so much I feel like a citizen of Mayberry. Its been a tough year. Earl Scruggs, Doug Dillard, Doc Watson, and now Andy. The world will never be the same.
  11. It never impacted my views of the south, but I'm southern. Its disturbing in the same way Caldwell depicted the south in Tobacco Road, or Gods Little Acre. Its fiction. Its what happens when an author takes a setting and characters and uses their imagination. It did however manage to forever make an association between banjos and sodomy. That's unfortunate
  12. Built by a millionaire who literally had to spend huge amounts of money to meet the terms of a trust. The original restaurant was very good but PC just wasn't ready for it yet. Shame. The whole complex is well designed, and has tons more character than any commercial development in the region... and most of it has been vacant for most of its life.
  13. A uke is a great way for her to learn to play and graduate to guitar later. The soprano uke is just like the 1st through 4th strings on guitar capo's at the 5th fret. Oh and the uke 4th string is tuned an octave high. No matter. The chord shapes are the same as guitar. The uke is small, portable, cheap, and the nylon strings are easy on the fingers. Go for it.
  14. Maybe you should count the number of times you said 'me' 'my' and 'I' in that post, and then go find something more productive to do with your life than hammering your keyboard. Perhaps something that doesnt involve talking. Just a thought.
  15. R.I.P. Mike. I remember baseball, fishing, and playing music together as kids. You'll be missed.
  16. Post the info. Clever name for the ride lol
  17. Where does the trail start, where do I park etc?
  18. Like next to where extremely Cycles used to be? Is it motorcycle gear?
  19. I'm going to be in the minority with this opinion, but 400 hours of community service is extreme overkill. These kids had already learned their lesson the minute they were arrested. To cripple their first year of adult life with 400 hours is ridiculous. 40 hours I can see but not 400.
  20. Licenses are for handguns. I doubt you'd enjoy the attention you'd get carrying a long gun, but it would be handy under your bed or in your trunk.
  21. Yeah I cracked up at the Mae West quote reference
  22. Good call. Made in America, traditional styling, proven reliable design (simply will not jam) and bear stopping knockdown power. It's not made for concealment. They make handguns for that. This is what you pull out when the s*** hits the fan.
