http://www.icandocs.org/ga/ Try this website. It is easy fill in the blank forms you do online then print. It even gives directions for filing. I did this for my son to legitimize his children and get visitation. Very easy to do and they are free. They are also done specifically for GA.

Rhonda, my husband has been a truck driver for years and has sleep apnea. It is not as bad as you might think. Yes- on his DOT physical he has to show where he has kept up with the sleep doctor routine appointments but he still passes his physicals and gets his 3 year medical card. I think if I remember correctly the first year he was only given a 1 year medical card but after that it went right back to 3. When he was on the road- he took his machine with him and it really wasn't that big of a deal. Hubby says he can tell a HUGE difference when he sleeps with and without it. Good luck to y

That was my point. Many mobile units follow the rules and do what is required. Unfortunately it is very easy to get around the rules for some because they can just pick up and leave before getting noticed by the health dept or the good ole tax man. As for getting sick off of them- well that is anywhere from the mobile units to fast food to five star dining.

Being a restaurant owner in Paulding County I know what the requirements are- trust me I know how tough they can be!! All I was saying was- IF they are there only on the week end like the guy was in Cedartown it took them several weeks to catch up to him. They did run him out of Polk County so I have no idea where he set up at after that. He did NOT have any permits what so ever. I am all for someone setting up and making a living so long as they follow the same rules we ALL have to follow.
-
I would check for permits- health permits, business license, etc. There was a guy in Cedartown run off not to long ago for not having any of these things. He only operated the weekends thinking he wouldn't get caught. Without the proper permits he is not being inspected by the health dept, and without a business licence and sales tax number he likely isn't paying sales tax that he could be charging to you! Without these things he also may not have insurance should he make someone sick. Just check that he is legit.

I guess this one saved alot of money on the florist. lol

Although I am sure that her yard is probably already landscaped fall in the planting season for new trees/shrubs. You might do a nice outdoor plant that can be planted at her home. She could enjoy it for years to come and think of your friendship each time she visits her mountain home.

Lots of good ideas offered but to me obviously water to her is calming. You might try putting some kind of water element in her room. A small fountain if you will that gives that same sense of calm or escape.

Good Luck with getting on in Paulding County. I know several people that are qualified that can't get their foot in the door for anything at the Sheriff's dept. You have to know someone to get on and even then if it's not the "right" people you still are SOL.

I have said this time and time again- most often using the local mom and pop pharmacy as an example. The big box pharmacy opens up and everyone flocks there for their prescription needs etc.... then the small time pharmacy goes out and suddenly Johnny is sick and can't get out of the house so he calls that mom and pop place to see if they still deliver only to find out they are no longer in business. He wonders and says to his friends- I wonder why they closed up? We sure do need someone that will deliver for us... Well, had you continued to support your mom and pop place they would still be a

Well folks- I understand that in many populated areas such as New York we did get lucky with Irene. Having said that though because the storm was headed in their direction and didn't cause as much damage as predicted the "media hype" has calmed. However, what you haven't heard is how BAD parts of North Carolina were hit. You haven't heard about the 72 year old man that survived in his attic when his house filled with water, you haven't heard about the entire town that was lost due to flooding and winds, you haven't heard about the thousands of people in that region of the country that are stil

I do see the public school going more towards this as an option. Even though I don't believe the government should be in the business of supplying cell phones, lap tops or any other luxuries to anyone!
-
And that would be why our schools are all below AYP- the teachers get to play mom and dad and teach discipline, manners, basic life skills, etc without actually being able to discipline little Johnny because that would be just wrong. Sorry- but if more parents took the time to teach those things at home our teachers could spend more time teaching Johnny the basics or reading, writing and arithmetic. After all that's what they are suppose to be learning.
-
I understand your concern with this one but since when did the public school system become a baby sitter? And before you jump my a** on that one- I have been a single parent so... I think this mentality is part of the problem with our public school system now. Just my 2 cents worth.

And there are some out there that are REQUIRED BY LAW to stop and render aid- I know for certain if you hold a CDL drivers license you are. -
They re-open after the 4th on the 13th. And Yes- Friday night only is Prime Rib.

Actually the movie isn't at all about Jayne Mansfield's Car. Read this: http://blog.moviefone.com/2011/06/15/billy-bob-thornton-jayne-mansfields-car/ The film, which Thornton co-wrote with frequent collaborator Tom Epperson, is described as a comedy with dramatic overtones that takes place in 1969 and revolves around the culture clash of two families from different continents.

Can you please tell me WHY a processor can't give you an actual cost of processing CC and Debit Cards? It is always a percentage and even that varies with the cards you process and then there are those nasty little add on's that never were mentioned when you signed up? I would LOVE to have a processor that is straight up about what they charge per month.

Love it! I wish more people would take the stance that the Alamo Drafthouse has taken.

Agreed- we have been to many- some with a truck and some just to watch. Never had a drink while I was there though.

And another thing- Didn't we "teach" our kids that its not fair for them to fail and still not participate? I mean after all we have 5th quarter football in middle school. (or at least we did when we had middle school sports), we give our students multiple times to pass a test if they don't do well the first 12 times, we start them off with little league sports where EVERYONE is EXPECTED to get game time. The list could go on and on. This is NOT real life people! When I was a kid you went out for sports- yep even rec ball. If you were decent enough to play you got put on a team, if you weren't

I have kept quiet through both of these threads and I have a daughter that will NOT be graduating due to the graduation test. I have NOT attended a board meeting throughout the entire situation. With that being said I have always thought that basing a young adults entire school progress on one test was crazy. Some kids just don't do well on test and others do great. However- rules are rules and if you don't pass then you don't graduate. Why is it fair to the kids that did pass and get to walk to be on stage and have to share that honor with students that didn't hold up to the standards put for

Well, according to the GA Power rep I spoke to today; yes I have to pay sales tax on the items listed. They are "part" of the product being sold. The charges are only broken down because they are regulated to give you an itemized break down of them.
-
I really wish someone could answer my question so I would know if I am correct in that I should not be paying sales tax on these fees.
