  1. nope- this is a break down of my power bill. Mind you this is a small business account, hence the high bill. Current Service $1186.26 Environmental Compliance Cost $83.07 Nuclear Construction Cost Recovery $48.63 Municipal Franchise Fee $38.36 Sales Tax $94.94 Total Current Bill $1451.26 Now if you did the power portion of this bill times 7% sales tax the tax amount would be $83.04.
  2. So I know on my Ga Power Bill I have additional "fees" like the nuclear power plant recovery cost, environmental compliance cost, and a municipal franchise fee. My question is this- Can they charge sales tax on these "fees"? I thought that sales tax could only be charged on a product.
  3. As a business we are also charged for a statement fee and the CC processor holds the money for about 48 hours although it comes out of your account instantly. Can you imagine how much money they make on interest in a 48 hour period holding onto that money. You don't think much about your $50-100 purchase but add up everyones and there is SERIOUS money to be made in a 48 hour time span. As for your "rewards" the business is usually charged for those as well, which in turn is passed right back on to the consumer in the price of your purchase.
  4. Since Dawn is suppose to remove grease wouldn't it do the same thing by stripping the oil from their skin? We don't have a flea problem but my dog does have dry skin. I would be afraid to try the Dawn.
  5. I too agree that it won't be either of these stores. As a general rule I agree they do usually build next to an interstate however there are exceptions to this rule. Savannah's Bass Pro is not located next to an interstate.
  6. If there has been a change of custody with the child moving outside of Paulding County but continuing to attend school in Paulding Co does that need to be reported? I ask because this child now is fastly accumulating multiple absences and tardies and I don't want to be responsible. Thanks
  7. If you go to the paulding.gov web site they have a court calendar listed on the web site.
  8. When the channel 2 weather man took his mic and beat it against the ice on the railing to "show" us how the snow was covered in ice. Hubby and I are still laughing!
  9. Oh my gosh, hubby and I talked about this tonight. For a solid week we heard what was going to happen. Then for 2 days we heard what was happening. Then tonight we have been listening to what did happen. You have to laugh about it cause there is nothing else you can do... except turn the channel.

  13. I have said this for a long time. When I was a kid I participated in sports through rec ball. We actually had to "try out". If we weren't good enough we didn't make it. Practice at home and come back next year. Now just show up. That's all you gotta do and they "have" to let you play, that's only fair. I was shocked when my children got to middle school and started playing football. After the first game was over I started out to the field to get my son. He said Mom what are you doing? Come on son- it over. No it's not we have 5th quarter. What the heck is 5th quarter? It's where the kids tha
  14. Oh no Mark- one of my customers has that name!
  15. That answers part of my question. I guess what I want to know as well is "how many people are registered to vote in my district (ie: the school I vote at) and how many turned out to vote.
  16. I am wondering if there is somewhere you can see how many registered voters are in a particular district and how many of them actually voted. Not really for the entire Co but in a particular district.
  17. I have the torch and love it. I didn't go with the iphone simply because insurance is not available.
  18. My son goes to Reinhardt University and they just quarantined his entire dorm due to bedbugs! Apparently all the kids are having to sleep on cots in the gym until they get the situation under control. From what I gather there was only 1 dorm room affected but the entire building has been closed.
