I *think* they say to boil for at least 24 hours after the water main is fixed. Don't quote me on that though....I could be wrong.

I think school should have been out, but there's no way I'm sending my kid to school if there are roads closing left and right as early as they were yesterday. I would have kept her with me. Unexcused absence or not. I'm glad Paulding County called school out yesterday because I would not have been able to get to my daughter to pick her up had she been there, so I'm sure there would have been a LOT of other parents in the same boat (no pun intended). BHES, MMS, and NPHS are up on a hill, but the roads getting there are pretty low.

I'm guessing the number of those with flood insurance is drastically less than those who got flooded.

I'm not exactly sure what caused all this...... ....I do know that I don't want to hear another damn word about a drought!!!

Crossroads at Cedarcrest and Burnt Hickory to Mars Hill were clear this morning.

I figured 61N may be passable, but I can't get out of where I'm at. I'm at the top of Stilesboro at Mars Hill... Mars Hill going toward 41 is closed....as well as Mars Hill going toward 120. Burnt Hickory is closed, Old stilesboro is closed. There's a car at the bottom of the hill right here on Stilesboro in water up to the roof.... I'm stuck.
