  1. Yeah, I'm sure they're sitting around having lunch at the country club agonizing over their economic situations....right after they wrap up their shopping on Newbury. I don't care about her wealth - I just don't want her speaking for me, or he greater concern of American women. I also don't care if the President represents the people - make good decisions that benefit and uphold the people and the Constitution. I, personally, don't know why anyone would want to be the President...making a measly $400K a year to have all that pressure.
  2. Romney actually started it - he's such a knob. He was quoted as saying, "Economics, that's what my wife is telling me that women in America are concerned about".
  3. I don't think that Mrs. Romney should speak on behalf of women of the country - as she has no idea the normal plight of the average woman - stay at home mom or not. I don't speak on behalf of black people, or muslims, or paraplegics, etc. I think that she should STFU and look pretty until after the election. Then she can take on her favorite charity and sip tea with queen like the women that have come before her. First ladies need to stay in the shadows or nut up and get in the game.
  4. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/04/12/top-democratic-strategist-attacks-ann-romney/ Rosen sparked a firestorm of criticism by suggesting Wednesday evening on CNN that Romney was not qualified to help her husband on the campaign trail address women's issues. “Guess what, (Romney’s) wife has actually never worked a day in her life," said Rosen, who has twins with ex-partner Elizabeth Birch cont' In her apology, Rosen also said: “Let’s put the faux ‘war against stay at home moms’ to rest once and for all. As a mom I know that raising children is the hardest job there is. A
  5. I’m really beginning to get confused about the narcotics problem that we have and I’m starting to wonder if this isn’t more smoke from our “War on Drugs” failure. Why is it that I can have a fracture, and not be able to get anything more than Tylenol – yet I have a “friend” frequenting the pill mills and street drugs with no problems? Why is it that these drugs have been deemed too dangerous to be prescribed by PA’s, but the abuse continues? She is the epitome of junkie and what makes the whole thing absolutely HILARIOUS is that her main supplier is her boyfriend’s use of the VA. S
  6. Really wondering why anyone would be in downtown Baltimore, at night, on St. Patrick's Day? Have you ever been to Baltimore - it's a very small step up from Trenton, NJ.
  7. I'm starting Season 5 today and it's getting really whacky. EVERYONE I've spoken to said that the ending is crap and to stop watching. I'm starting to wonder if they were right.
  8. Really? As a person that's seen Warhol in THREE COUNTRIES, I'll shamefully apologize for my mispelling. Hi slater stuff got too Ikea for me anyways. You and BL can keep your Velvet Elvis and TK Christmas cards.
  9. I don't expect a person that calls themselves an artist to commodify art. I mean, even Worhal didn't do that, and his work is far more pervasive than Kinkade. To each their own. It oozes cheap crap reproduction to me. And we all know how I feel about knock-offs.
  10. As a lover and modest collector of art - he really should have been ashamed of his craft and himself. Anyone that has ever enjoyed the art community and culture knows exactly what I'm saying. He was the McDonald's of the art world.
  11. We never give gifts over $25 to publicly traded companies. Most public companies aren't even allowed to accept meals over a certain limit these days. Most companies can accept branded promotions up to $100 - ie, a nice leather iPad cover with my company logo on it. These are really just little thank you's. S&S, thanks for the info...could be a great option for the holidays.
  12. This is a great idea, as most of my clients are men. Woot! Thanks!
  13. It was a light hearted post. His work is still crap. I think we all can agree that Thomas Kinkade was a weak version of the original legend. He just did a better job getting it on Christmas cards.
  14. Thanks for all the suggestions!! I will certainly look into them. Unfortunately, we're global, so local events aren't ideal when I'm looking to buy for masses. Thank you again!
  15. I need to purchase new thank you gifts for companies that conduct reference calls for us. I want to have 2 different levels – one for sales under $20K and one for sales over $20K. The people that would be doing these calls are either technical or they work on the supply chain side of companies. I usually send a $10 gift card to Starbucks for the small deals, but I want to get a little creative. Have you given or received anything lately that you really liked? It's amazing how many consumer products I've been able to work into corporate gifts.
  16. This is our yearly "govt cell phone" topic? Shouldn't do it on Easter weekend - people are wanting to be all Jesus like and stuff. Before it gets started, let's also acknowledge that these phone are NOT paid for or distributed by the federal government. Rather, they are a service provided by the cell phone providers. They are intended for safety purposes, after all when was the last time you saw a pay phone? They only come with 200 minutes, which isn't really going to get people very far. Keep calm, and carry on...
  17. This guy was only 54?? Sheesh....I feel like we've been forced to have to look at his crap for centuries! What I love is the "art sales" at the hotels that sell his knock-offs or Christmas when it's everywhere. I'm sure folks have found pleasure in his stuff, but art is not meant to be mass produced - most of the time. RIP, the snow capped cottage in the middle of unrealistic nowhere will never be the same.
  18. http://dailycaller.com/2012/04/04/zimmerman-demanded-discipline-in-2010-race-related-beating-for-officers-who-investigated-martin-shooting/ Interesting new development. George Zimmerman apparently led a campaign to prosecute a WHITE cop for beating a BLACK homeless man in 2010. Still, according to members of the Zimmerman family, George printed and distributed copies of fliers on bright fluorescent-colored paper demanding that the community “hold accountable” officers responsible for any misconduct. TheDC has obtained a copy of one of those fliers. “Do you know the individual that
  19. Wasn't he on the phone with 911 during the struggle? Can someone point me to that transcript please?
  20. Americans are idiots. I’m amazed at how short sighted the general population can be. The media and radicals have literally tied a rope around your neck and they are leading you to very dangerous places. “Pink Slime” has been around for years. Also known as manufactured meat products, SPAM kept people ALIVE during the great depression. It sits quite comfortably on the shelves today. Here’s what this has done: 1.Ground beef prices WILL rise. 2.Thousands will lose their jobs. 3.There will be less vendors in the space, so outbreaks of food borne illness will have a much larger impact when th
  21. We do this really crazy thing on Easter where we go and worship Jesus. You're always welcome to come over and eat, but the only place I need to be on Easter is in my church house!
  22. Childbirth is special. I suppose there are other people that I would want to share that time with. I also find it a bit narcissistic to think that anyone else cares that much about your vagina. I did, however, call it a week ago in her "how to get attention during pregnancy" "what to focus on during labor" thread. I do wish her luck, and I'll leave it to you all to carry on this private conversation (on the internets).
