  1. I just wanted to let everyone know that Joe did an excellent job at my conference. Due to some communication confusion, he ended up with a much smaller crowd (less than 100) than we intended - all tired from a long day of sessions - but he really pulled it out. He made dinner enjoyable for everyone and we had great feedback! If you need someone for your corporate event, Joe is extremely professional and offers a lot of bang for the buck! Thank you Joe! We'll be working together again!
  2. She's beautiful. And I'm calling a truce with you (as I know your little disclaimer was directed at me) I think I may have been influenced by the wrong people...that may have gotten it wrong. After all, I did hire Joe Turner and he rocked. Beautiful little girl. Congrats.
  3. Has anyone been reading any good books lately? And please, no Shades of Grey!
  4. Did you guys buy a home with your own pool?? If so, do you have a guest room? LOL!
  5. we should pool it together. I can't drink, so I'm certainly not going to plan much for vacation. We'll head over to the beach for a quick getaway at some point.
  6. Thanks for the feedback. Might be good for a casual sling wearing mom. Or pillow fabric.
  7. http://www.sevenslings.com/ Enter code WTE at check out. I've not used these particular slings before, but I'm a sling wearin' mamma so I wanted to share!
  8. I was raised by a biker mom in a biker bar...they're a breed all their own, but they sure have big hearts. Glad to see the service to others.
  9. It's funny, one of my sales reps is 6 months pregnant with TRIPLETS and shes still wearing 5 inch heels - well, she was until last week when she went into the hospital.
  10. Cant share the signs without inadvertently advertising for the establishments. And getting the thread closed. And as of June 1st, I'm a Alpharettian, because South Cobb is the ghetto - and I've never said that I didn't live in the ghetto. I'm looking forward to pouring one out for my homies.
  11. Slow your roll sister. It was spin off of another thread, hence the reason I opened with the remark. And there is a difference between a trailer park and a mobile home community - if you don't think there's a difference, you live in a trailer park. Further, I never said anything about the people that live in them - just that establishments tend to be able to survive in areas that are surrounded by aforementioned domiciles - more likely due to the transient nature of the residents simply not being concerned with a temporary community. This topic was started because I wanted to explore t
  12. We are hoping for a GIRL. While I won't be posting here about the experience, I will be starting up a blog once we've announced to our family at www.realmomswearheels.com - it will be a combination of blog, advice and my new adventure into business oriented community service which I'm entering into with a friend and leader from one of the large societies. A blog for the women like me that do it all, backwards, in high heels (and pregnant)! Woot! Digressing.... My SIL isn't good. She wasn't a candidate for treatment in the US because thanks to socialized medicine in the UK, they've alre
  13. I just want you all to know that there is a very strong chance I will end up in jail. Me and Alex Jones are way too close.
  14. Well, neither of these establishments are in an area that I would ever call home or frequent. They are merely on route to something else. I think the fact that they're surrounded by trailer parks or government housing speaks more volume than anything. Lie down with dogs and all that. Of course, if something like this moved into an area that affected me or my children, yes, I would certainly do whatever I needed - frivolous or not - to rid myself and my investment of the nuisance. I think everyone would do the same. If it affects your wallet, at minimum, you'd make sure that it aff
  15. Kill dozens of innocent people in a volatile military zone and put the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans at risk? Yeah, I'm really sorry for this guy... The biggest injustice here is that he'll still pull a pension courtesy of the American taxpayer.
  16. So, if I wanted to put up a sign in my yard that said, "Your mother is a c*nt", it would be celebrated? But I digress. The best I can tell, this is actionable and using the n word would be considered hate speech. I think in the case of the guy that's out in the sticks, 2 things make this 'no big deal'. 1. The vase majority of the surrounding demographic probably agrees with him. 2. It's far enough out of sight that it doesn't really impact much. The other hate speech sign is a bit more centrally located and certainly in an area with more diversity. The one that jumps out at me as
  17. He doesn't know, because he has a big mouth. We're telling everyone in the family next week. I don't think he'll be happy about it - I've tried to prep him that it could happen and he has been none too pleased. He will be fine.
  18. I'm okay with that! LOL! We're moving in June, have to go to England and I haven't planned our summer vacation yet. I welcome the added time! I am looking for consignment shops that sell high end baby items - if anyone knows of any. I'm looking for peg perego and maclaren products. Thanks for the congrats, y'all!
  19. Due in December! Pinterest has reached a whole new level of addiction for me! lol!
  20. Woot! Wanted to tell some of you, but I can't post it on Facebook because we're surprising our families over mother's day.
  21. I don't care about the who's...please do not get this thread closed by using names. The person you references is not the ONLY establishment that does this. Not to mention, I don't care to give any credit where none is due. I'm curious to learn from those that have done the legal research on why this is free speech and not hate speech.
  22. Let me be clear - I do NOT want to talk about the PERSON in Paulding. That will get this topic closed. However, I do want to talk about the signs. I have never seen these signs in the Paulding area, but I was made aware of a bar in Cobb that does something very similar. I do know that this is a form of free speech, no matter how tacky and classless, we have to allow that...but, can someone explain to me how this isn't stoppable under hate speech? From wiki: In the United States, hate speech is legal (except for obscenity, defamation, incitement to riot, and fighting words). T
  23. So, if I went in and called my CEO a religious and economic enemy, he should continue to employ me? He completely undermined and humiliated his boss. Doing it publicly, in my opinion, borders on treason.
  24. You've been on here long enough to know that I'm the person who thinks Obama - along with the wealthy elite - are slowly taking away all of our rights, creating a debilitating class system and completely manufacturing events to lead our world into a complete financial collapse.
