Moral of the story, people are more than their online persona, screen names, facebook profiles, etc. It's certainly difficult not to paint a picture if these are the only venues in which you've had to learn about a person, but don't be surprised when your perception is shattered by truth. On the topic of medical intervention as a whole - I believe that America suffers a great deal, again - as a whole, because of our INSISTENCE on messing with crap that isn't broken. 3D ultrasounds, boutique birthing, etc. can't be good.
