  1. I know all about the papi's of the world. I certainly spent enough time with a wonderful man, but he wanted what he wanted and he wanted to make sure the world knew he could have it! Me included. It was a fun ride...no complaints here! You enjoy it sister! And Papi, spread the word to your rich friends...consider it your act of charity - tis the season!
  2. Thank you!! They're full for all the good spots, BUT, we'll be on clean up staff! They are desperate for help in that area on Christmas day if anyone else is interested. Thank you confederate rose!
  3. I really like this idea, but I'm not a poet!! Any suggestions of poems that I could borrow that would fit the occasion?
  4. We just found out that Hosea is full. Anyone know of Christmas DAY volunteering ops?
  5. This isn't a solitaire, it's a cocktail. It's a very pretty, very classy right hand cocktail. Pics available. DESIGNER hallmark, folks. STEAL of a price!! Open to anyone! And if it matters, I plan to donate half the sale price to brain cancer research to honor my SIL. The other half will help cover some of the costs of her funeral that we are helping to pay for... All joking aside, even though I can't stand your husband, I'm very glad that you've been blessed this Christmas - with a loving marriage and the material blessings from your hard work. Your efforts make it all well deser
  6. As many of you know, my husband and I are very involved in local charitable causes in our area. One of them is a charity that helps at risk youth. Some of "my kids" came back last night for a holiday party and one of my girls has decided to get baptized! I'm so honored to watch her make her commitment next month and I want to do something nice for her...any baptism gift suggestions? Not a Bible and not jewelry...but preferably something that can help to be a constant reminder to stay the course. TIA!
  7. True story. After all, sugar daddies get their babies BMWs, not Fords. ;p It's a nice ride though, and you need something roomier. Blondie, I have a beautiful, designer hallmarked 2 CT diamond ring for sale for $3K (paid WAY more)...you should ask for it for Christmas!
  8. This can all be tied back to the diSINtegration of the family - and that's not to mean that you have to have the perfect family. You can be divorced, same sex, multiple wives/husbands, etc. and still have a far more healthy family than half the kids you'll see at Marist.
  9. You citing Mother Jones is as bad as me citing Infowars. I'll send you a gift sub to Utne.
  10. There are gun buy back programs happening all over the country right now. You're free to go and turn yours in to any police station at any time.
  11. Context: The entire United Kingdom can fit inside of Texas. You can drive from the top of the UK (Scotland) to the bottom of the the UK in 9 hours. You can't go from Jacksonille to the keys in 9 hours.
  12. What do we KNOW? 1. Mom and dad divorced, after 28 years of marriage - him moving far away to continue a high profile career 2. Mom and dad were rich, leaving mom to not have to work, and she didn't - quite the opposite, she was known to throw money around quite freely 3. Mom spent 3 nights a week at a bar, albeit a quaint new england bar 4. a HISTORY, a LONG history, of concerning behavior Am I the only one that thinks that we shouldn't be all that surprised?
  13. I'm sure! And, it's nice when you can write such things off on your taxes for sure!
  14. One of the biggest drivers is socioeconomic disadvantage, and it's the direction in which america is moving. I've expressed by views on this before, but basically there is a HUGE class divide. That divide in perpetuated by the government entitlement programs. Because of this, children grow up VERY quickly in the UK. The "bad influences" are gathered in common areas and these influences become impossible to escape. Children learn very early that people will take what they want, and they do. It's true that there are less gun related crimes (51 last year), so I guess you have to decide if th
  15. I'm worried about the waiting too. My ex-husband is happy to come and hang, and take my 10 year if he gets too annoying. I think he's as excited as my husband for the new arrival. But, I can't shake the "my 2 dads" jokes from my head!
  16. She's never been there. It's very easy to say that you want to be like somewhere else when you think everyone has tea with the queen in their spare time.
  17. Did any of you have your children in the room for your birth? How old were they and how did they do? TIA
  18. Yeah, if anyone else did that...Papi would have some choice words. He's the only one that's allowed to boast about his wealth on pcom! PS, I do like it. I've gone back and forth on trading in my Explorer (which I love) for the new model, but I'd rather save the car payment I think. Let us know how you like it!! I might consider it when they start coming off lease.
  19. Please. dont. If you ask my husband, he will tell you that America, even with it's guns, is far less violent than the UK where he's from. Yes, to the ignorant few, we may look scary...but let me paint you a picture. Henley Royal Regatta, 2010. It's packed full of people. For no reason at all, a bunch of teens take a brown beer bottle and smash it into the face of a 10 year old, leaving him bloodied on the floor. There's several teens that flee, no one goes after them - why? If they did catch them, there would be dozens that would beat you to death. You're walking to the stor
  20. When we had god in our homes, couples went to counseling before they got married. They turned to counseling before they got divorced. They were encouraged to stay together. Then came the welfare state, we compensated for single patents and multiple children. Women's lib made women that didn't work outside the home feel like she was stupid. Then, we decided tht we were too smart for religion. We take pills to manage stress that we've created with our decisions and we've moved our families from NEIGHBORhoods to "swim tennis communities" and we are lucky if we know the name of the person dow
  21. So now it was a rifle. And the children were shot multiple times. But, according to survivors, the shooting didn't last long. So he got off 40 shots with a rifle and some hand guns? What did the ever say about the second shooter?
