  1. Shi by Journeys has a great selection at affordable prices...they won't be popular for much more than another season. I prefer the larger platforms.
  2. I just don't have time for the TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Ross hunts anymore. Which sucks, because when I did I found some STEALS. Now, I just don't buy clothes until I need them for some reason.
  3. No, but there are things that I KNOW that I want...if we build. Then again, depends on WHERE we settle. We found a near perfect house on Tybee that's still on our list. And, the same way you can lose value by cutting corners, you can waste money by upgrading beyond market allowence. I imagine if we built, that it really wouldn't matter. It would be the house we died in. Like ordering pizza, it would be nice to know how many an oven services
  4. No...that's how YOU roll...in the Park. Where's my FBBC and Shan???
  5. But Lauren Conrad's Kohl's line is super cute! I'm going to buy one for this weekend! And she has an adorable little black one shoulder number - must have! What's the rule on booties and black dresses?
  6. Add value...and cost. We're house shopping again in January (oh joy), but I thought that building may have some merits.
  7. Thanks LPPT -- looking at house plans can be confusing!
  8. Prints have a "caters kitchen" off the mud room...hence my question. I rarely us a normal oven...is an additional set something necessary for entertaining 6 or 60? The latter being something we will do once a year, if at all.
  9. Sorry if my verbage is off. It's a SMALL room, with a sink, dishwasher, cabinets for serving stuff and potentially the oven. It's small, and commonplace in today's new homes. The fridge and ovens are "optional", but don't add space, just appliance cost. eta: I never claimed to be, or want to be, a cook. I tried, and failed, miserably.
  10. I'm guessing it will be more of "warming". Trust me, I think that there is some kind of law I break by subjecting people to my cooking. I try...but it's bad. Still, entertaining is important and, if I'm being honest, I'm trying to figure out if I want to build an oven space in the butler's pantry.
  11. OK...I've seen the microwave deal. That's an oven too?? I'm trying to figure out the best set up for entertaining...and I know NOTHING about cooking.
  12. so is that what the @ ovens on top of eachother are? why not have them both be convection? 2...TWO ovens...on top of eachother. Apparently, I haven't mastered editing on the new board.
  13. So, they make ovens that site on top of eachother...usually apart from a stove...what do they do? I've heard the term 'covection'....what does that mean?
  14. Big blue button to the le of the banner = new posts I actually like the new change.
  15. Hell no...I tivo'd that one, but I can't watch it. I can't watch crap like that.
  16. Have you been watching this thing with alex?
  17. I plan on getting both a band and a 'travel set'' of stackables in addition to my diamond for everyday use...they lay flat which makes the most sense - especially when traveling.
  18. I hope that the Lord holds your hands through this - and blessings to your dad; he's home with his Father now. I wish you and yours peace and healing.
  19. She is perfection. Piano at 4, WROTE music by 13, accepted to Julliard AND, you CAN'T find a bad thing about her. She might be artsy - but she has no scandals. She's a total package.
  20. Wow -- are you all starting to see him for the over-rated off broadway show act that he is?? Interestingly -- the ONLY thing that you can find about his performance is his fellato simulation and HIS defense of it. That said, I think Gaga had a penis on last night. Maybe I'm just getting prude in my old age.
  21. Kenny wasn't like...the other kids....REMOTE CONTROL!
  22. I'll never forget your theme song...
