  1. The human body has been drawn forever. As a matter of fact - plump nudes are most desired as it's more challenging for the artist.
  2. It's the next trip from the company!! So, Italy and France, Spain in April and now the Mediterranean....FOR FREE! I really want him to retire - but these trips don't suck!
  3. I got an early Christmas present! We're going to the Mediterranean next year!
  4. Well...then there's this... And before you all get twisted - Adam isn't a chosen victim, this was on Perez Hilton. This kind of thing is seen with nearly EVERYONE in Hollywood (cept Natalie Portman - who is perfect).
  5. I lost a heel tip on the way in today. I don't normally replace them, I just toss the shoe, but I've decided that these aren't destined for the trash just yet. So, I'm looking up shoe repair places and I learned that they STILL call shoe repair people a 'cobbler'. Really? So, I got to thinking, what else has retained it's old timey name? The only other one I could think of was a locksmith and I'm not sure that the term is all that old.
  6. What do you do? Give me some idea of the activities. How often do you go and have you made a lot of friends through it?
  7. I LOVE the idea of a clubhouse near by with TONS of children's activities, plus things for adults too. And then, I fall back on my iniate apprehensions...what if we never use it? Neither of us currenly play golf or tennis, though we've both said we want to learn. I like the swim, but the house we're looking at has a pool so I'm not convinced that we would ever even use the community pool. So, since I've never belonged to a country club - matter of fact I've only BEEN to a country club on a handful of occasions - sell me (or dissuade me) on membership.
  8. You had a valid point - and you're right. 911 should only be used for real emergencies. It's really disappointing that we have no choice but to tie up law enforcement resources for neighbors that lack common courtesy. They're certainly needed elsewhere.
  9. To clarify, I called Cobb Police non-emergency number, not 911. I should have said, 'the police' not 911. I did speak to someone at church that is a Cobb police officer to see if I had other options. He said that calling the police is really the only thing that you can do.
  10. When you're woken up at 1, 2, 3 am day, after day, after day, for weeks on end, believe me - you just want it to STOP. I certainly HATED having to call the police for something like that, but at some level it was call the police on them or have them call them on me. I pay my taxes same as everyone else and don't use ANY local services. I'm not going to make too many apologies.
  11. I've been dealing with it for over 3 years. I haven't had my windows open for any real length of time for 3 years. I've filed complaints, even resorted to 911 on more than one occasion. Since I don't work from home all the time anymore, I only have to deal with it at night and I've gotten a prescription for Ambien. What's worse, I live in an HoA community. There are some things that you can buy that have pretty good reviews, but since you don't have a clear view of ALL dogs, it won't work that well for your situation. I do keep bones on hand - those quiet them down temporarily. You ca
  12. You'll have to be sure to tell us what it is! My guess is a new car!
  13. Someone, somewhere, got very rich off putting patio furniture in the pool. Kill me.
  14. It would be totally cute with an edgy shirt and a pair of skinny jeans! I think walmart sells plastic patio furniture that you can toss in the pool for a lot less than a grand!
  15. That's a cool watch! Is it metal?? I don't think I've ever seen a black metal band.
  16. There is a reserve, which isn't met yet. I'm not smart enough to make sense of all the crap on the site.
  17. No, it's in Alpharetta. So, then, the auction winner is nothing more than a bid to the bank? The auction closes in 3 days and it's online only. Of course, the highest bid right now is $300K lower than what it's listed for...
  18. I came across a house that I'm interested in that appears to currently be involved in an online auction. (www.auction.com) Does is HAVE to sell here, or is it just like any kind of bidding that will have to be approved by the bank? It's currenly a REO through BBT.
  19. The couple will pay off their mortgage in two years, when they plan to remodel some of the apartment, adding a Murphy bed and larger windows. They will then be saddled only with their maintenance fee, which is just over $700 a month. Ahhh, I love NY.
  20. Has anyone used Direct Buy before??? Were the deals good? What about the quality?
  21. There are Earth friendly cards. And in today's world, we need the JOBS that are created by all of your aforementioned points. Yes, we do. Ours went out last week. PS...I do NOT recommend Tiny Prints.
