  1. She beat him with a golf club...I'm sure there's a lot of crazy in that house. A guy will put up with A LOT for a hot chick, but even beauty only goes so far. I think it's pretty hilarious that no one seems to want to acknowledge the domestic abuse here...talk about a DOUBLE STANDARD.
  2. It's probably the gas cap. Did you check it? This has happened to me before. Unscrew it and screw it back on. Should resolve momentarily.
  3. He's always had the overtone of a prick... http://www.nytimes.com/1997/04/19/opinion/tiger-s-double-bogey.html More vintage Tiger asking for privacy after being an ass http://www.nytimes.com/1997/05/14/sports/woods-has-empathy-for-zoeller-and-a-rebuke-for-the-president.html He's a good golfer. And a poor liar.
  4. I'm not referring to the discussion about it...I'm referring to those that are getting truly bent around the axle and wishing ill will upon another human being. That they don't know. For a situation that's only details are coming out of the shark pool of American Media.
  5. are y'all really getting bent over someone else's sex life? It's amazing to me how much some of y'all like to talk about all the sex other people are or are not having.
  6. I just got teary watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEdVfyt-mLw Who knew pink gloves could make me cry????
  7. I passed! I'm officially certifiable! Tomorrow I will be.... HUNG OVER!
  8. Ahhh, MWE, thank you for being such a gracious host and warm welcoming commitee to pcom's new posters. Whether the story is true or not, this is probably a very good lesson for ALL of us to think about. You never know what could be in the pockets of items that you buy, so it's probably not a bad practice to check them out...regardless of if you wash them. I certainly wouldn't want to throw a pair of slacks in the wash that had been returned with a pen in the pocket!
  9. I like to entertain too much. I could imagine trying to give someone directions! I have one friend that lives in D'ville and I always think a deer is going to kill while I'm driving home. I did, however, find this one...http://www.tinafountain.com/idx/residential/3973586/details.html Aside from being in a craptastic school district, it appears to have a lot going it for it.
  10. Naaa...this is for someone that wants to be away from it all and have horses. But at this price, I would reckon that I would want to be within driving distance to say...a grocery store.
  11. I am surfing through foreclosures and I came across this house; http://www.tinafountain.com/idx/residential/3948334/details.html I've been to Alexander once, and I remember it being out in the sticks. How far is this to say...a mall, a highway, a grocery a golf course or a bar?
  12. Time will tell...Despite her traditional marriage, with God at the center (bout DIED when I heard her say my mantra...God>marriage>kids), she seems to have a lot of class. Believe it or not, there are a lot of woman that don't want to be feminists and appreciate a more traditional home life. That doesn't make them weak.
  13. It's a great gift...but I would wait to give her pearls. Either give them on her wedding day (regardless of if she wears them that day) or pass down yours... At 23, unless she's the Junior League type, the pearls probably won't see much use right now.
  14. No. I really don't watch TV, but I love this show!
  15. But at what cost?? And interestingly...she's the most unattractive on the show. She's also got a failing marriage and her kids hate her. But, she's independant! And I sure hope so, cause I got a feeling that she's going to die alone..
  16. I like Jo and Lori. I do like the new housewife. I loved how she served her husband and buttered him bread...you just don't see that anymore and that is certainly the way it should be! As for the rest, Tamra and Vicki could drop off the face of the earth and I'd be just fine.
  17. Watched last week's episode last night...what do you think of the new girl???
  18. It's the history of the man and the text that was written about him. It's more of a history book about the Bible's authenticity, etc. Still, I don't read those books often (the last one I read was on FDR), because I want reading to be my escape.
  19. Thank you! After this one, I'm reading 'A Case for Christ' (have you read it? Written by an Athiest?) and then I'll have room! They sound good!
  20. When you live big, everything you do is magnified. After having spent a couple of year's as the 'executive's wife' - I wouldn't wish real fame upon my worst enemy.
  21. It's fiction. Follows 4 sets of friends from childhood (all screwed up ones) to adulthood. One of the friends is a gay male in SF during the 80's. I'm half way through the book, but they've just set off to find him as he's dying of AIDS. This was back in the day when AIDS was always fatal and miserable, and most ended up dying in gross motels in seedy neighborhoods. If you like character development, all things southern, and you aren't easily offended...it's so much awesomeness!
  22. I'm reading Pat Conroy's 'South of Broad'. Easily one of the best books that I've ever read!! I'm half way through and it is just amazing. If you love being from the south, you will love this book. I love Conroy for this very reason, but he really perfects it in this book.
  23. I think it's goofy...women should know what they're getting when they marry a man of power. The idealistic sense of marriage will rarely apply to these kinds of men. Discretion, however, should be excercised.
