  1. Holy Heck...someone in the school district had some sense. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,565640,00.html The seven-member Christina School Board voted unanimously Tuesday to reduce the punishment for kindergartners and first-graders who take weapons to school or commit violent offenses to a suspension ranging from three to five days. Hey...it's a step.
  2. Yep - thanks for the reviews! I am going to call Shutterfly because I can't figure out how to get them off (besides right clicking - and it loses quality).
  3. No, not at all. I'm actually curious cause we (read: DBF) fried our macbook with a Coke - it had hundreds of pics on it, maybe even thousands. Now the only place I have them digitally is on shutterfly.
  4. Companies perform better, investors take notice, companies increase the workforce.
  5. 10K for the first time in a year?!?! This is HUGE!
  6. Actually, what I mean was high quality (and it's probably the wrong verbage). For instance, my camera is 15mp - but shutterfly isn't going to store something of that quality, right? And by store, I mean if my HD was lost, I wouldn't be able to pull it back down at the same quality...or maybe I can. That was actually my question If I didn't just confuse you more!
  7. Call around to various breast cancer organizations and see if they have advice (Susan G, etc) - OR, worst case scenario - go to the ER. I mean, you have to have it looked at or you run the risk of dying. We all pay ridiculous premiums to cover ER visits like these - DONT WAIT.
  8. Teens recover a lot quicker than adults do...she should be back to normal in 2-3 days. IF she smokes, that's not a good idea. She'll regret a dry socket. No straws.
  9. That definitely is a fluke!!! It was PACKED - especially the mall and the museums. It was a neat place to see and I would certainly go back. The city was pretty from the roof of the hotel with a glass of wine and beautiful fall weather. I'll post pics tonight, as I got some incredible ones. The whole time I was there I kept thinking that I wished I'd had my son -- so much so that I think I'm going to take him up to the city with me next week. I just was seeing all this history for the first time knowing how much he'd love it. FOTOgirl - have a great time! It's a neat city. I'd
  10. A camping tool with a butter knife? Dear God - my son has been spreading his own mustard since he was 4. Let's give them a BB gun and a 4-wheeler - but no campin' tools....get r dun! *spit*
  11. Thankfully - there's about 50,400 people on Fox news - more than 96% of those that voted - that agree that this is going way too far. MWE - I just want to tell you that I so look forward to your intellectual, well thought out, and very valuable contributions to threads like these. Pcom wouldn't be pcom without the brilliance of people like you.
  12. Very alarming. I'm very much considering a hand gun. http://www.ajc.com/news/cobb/shooters-in-c...nty-160758.html The people who fired shots at a man near two Cobb County schools Monday apparently have been in the area before posing as police detectives, Cobb Police Sgt. Dana Pierce said Tuesday morning.
  13. So pretty! :swoon: I will see you soon!
  14. Thank you for the info. This is a stupid question, but Shutterfly isn't a storage facility like you mentioned above, is it? We have all of our pics uploaded there, but I need something that will house the HQs - correct?
  15. Now, now - I wasn't the brightest bulb when I was with child...come to think about it, I'm still not. It's part of my charm.
  16. I had a Volvo S40t and I LOVED that car. LOVED LOVED LOVED it. I wish I had NEVER traded it in. I can't WAIT to get rid of this tank that I drive now.
  17. What happened here? Did you find anything? I have some resources for the city - and they could potentially give you some direction. When I looked for area resources a year or so ago, I only found Bartow resources. I'm HAPPY to look again.
  18. You'll have to get a paying member to find it in the tonk. I don't have a paid membership. People tripped over someone giving it as a gift. It's an infamous thread. And thank you for the bday wishes!
  19. I got a Dell Lollipop for my bday and I absolutely LOVE it! It's so much fun! It's so light and compact that it can fit in a city bag! The accessories are great. The extended battery gives me a full day of use and the bluetooth mouse makes it easy to use anywhere. It has a card reader (caution - it won't read a compact flash card - but I got a portable reader that is the size of a lipstick!) that takes a few cards, including sticks. The keyboard is full size (I'm a writer, hence the reason I really wanted a mini) and the mousepad has some cool features (works like the iPhone with finger moveme
  20. What's so funny about a cube? Where is a person supposed to sit when they have to go into the office? What mushy pillow? You mean the vagina pillow? It's art. Some people do get squimish with the topic of sex. Hopefully someone bumped it in the tonk for those that missed it. It's a beautiful "piece". Ha! Thank you for the compliments. I pinch myself daily thinking of how blessed I am!!
  21. Thanks to all that replied, here and via PM. Very helpful. In a perfect world, this would never happen. But, in the abscense of a perfect world, we have to make due with what we've got.
  22. While it FEELS like 31 years ...they're actually for my 31st bday. Our anniversary is tomorrow. And thank you.
  23. Here's some info on the 'alternative schools' in the county. http://www.christina.k12.de.us/Alternative...ograms-0910.pdf Just reading this send a chill down my spine. I could not imagine a 6 year old being treated that way. Oh, and whatever genius thought that web based training is an option definitely earned their paycheck - cause that won't create a learning delta.
