Sorry I was away...I was looking for a second job.

I do try to make his lunch extra healthy to compensate for the drive thru and pizza that inevitable happens twice a week (or more) as the result of being a single mom. Still, $120 today and the only thing I bought for myself was 3 12 packs of Diet coke and some ground beef. The rest was ALL his lunch or dinner things. But, it sounds like he's no different then other kids...I want my tubes tied.

My son's lunch box (he's consists of: a turkey and cheese sandwich Bag of potato chips yogurt an orange carrots and dressing granola bar capri sun PLUS he gets .50 everyday for a snack bought at the school! Granted, one item is for a morning snack, but this seems like a lot of food!! And he eats it ALL! And he's still a lanky little thing. I'm going to need a second job when he becomes a teenager!!

I mentioned that I have a cricket (a sign of good luck) in my house. He showed up on the day that I got my job offer. Due to my superstitions, I just deal with him. Now, he only chirps at night - never in the day. I got flowers today and it had a peacock feather in it. I noticed that the cricket started chirping, which I thought was unusual. I was informed a half hour or so later that the peacock feather is bad luck and shouldn't be brought inside so I immediately took it outside and put it in the trash. Within a couple of minutes, the cricket stopped chirping.

Just don't get too cocky!! approach it like it's the first interview! Best of luck - I'm really very happy to see that people are starting to regain employment.

I really feel for those of you that are unemployed. It's so depressing, and discouraging and I really don't know how I would have made it without my SO supporting me. I just received a beautiful bouquet of congratulations! I'm sharing it with all of you that are unemployed. Your bouquet is on the way, keep the faith and try to remain positive.

I was in Orlando, and I really need to get my bangs trimmed for a party. I went into a salon...to my surprise, they take me back and I'm the only white woman in there. She did a great job and it was the most fun I've had getting my hair cut!

My cricket is back. I have no idea why it won't stay outside!!! I got a job offer the day it appeared, so I'm just cohabitating with the bastard and sleeping with the door closed. This thing is going to make me nuts.

There were 3 hurricanes that year. My mom lost her roof and kitchen and was displaced for 3 months. My grandmother had to appear on the local news to get FEMA support. I wouldn't say that Florida is recovered, there's still blue tarps. However, this pales in comparison to Katrina. I was in LA a couple years ago and it was still such a sad place to see. Of course, NOLA has never been a very nice place.

I'm leaning towards Mencia. I like the attack on all cultures. It's equal opportunity offense. I'm not that big a fan of sex jokes, which is what I think of with crude. Maybe we'll just go see both - it's in the hotel complex. Probably save us a lot of money not being in the casino for that hour and a half.

I've heard that Bob Saget was surprisingly funny in his stand up act, but I agree that it would be hard to laugh at bob saget. I'm thinking about going to AC for my birthday and these 2 are doing shows at the hotel that weekend, so I thought I'd see if anyone had input.
