  1. I think as long as marijuana is ILLEGAL, there is no reason for you to be even softly endorsing this with your TEEN. As a citizen, I agree with you. As a parent, I do not. Whether we like it or not, it's illegal and therefore possessing marijuana can ruin a child's life - at an age where they're too young to know the difference. I have a lot of friends that smoke pot - but they are already well established in their careers and are at a reduced risk for any negative effects of a misdemenor charge. As you teach him to be a non-conformist, you may want to also enroll him in a welding
  2. Today's Groupon is 1/2 Sparkles! $6 for skating, laser tag and play area. I got my 5 Groupons!
  3. I don't think many men care about weddings - straight or gay. There's only muff divers on the site I posted...really pretty ones at that.
  4. Some of it is your typical star wars or spock theme...and some people think photoshopping your flowers to be colored in a black and white photo is "off beat", but some of it is pretty cool! Oh, and warning...there are some gay/lesbian weddings on there. If anyone is offended by that.
  5. This may be the most breathtaking wedding (and photography) I've ever seen. http://oeilphotography.blogspot.com/2010/10/chris-siobhan-london-wedding.html
  6. If you're not into traditional...or even if you are but want to be a little different. www.offbeatbrides.com
  7. It is a very slippery slope with the government starts to have control over product design. Think about this - the private sector of tax contributing corporations makes a product sold in a box. The government is now telling them what that box must look like. They are taking over 20% of the product packaging real estate for their agenda. Pretty scary stuff.
  8. Contemplating lunch, I decided that I NEED a Baldino's sub. Has anyone ever been there? Who has your favorite sub sandwich and what is it?
  9. Has anyone been watching these interviews with G.W. Bush? I've seen 2. He's a pretty funny guy. I would love to have a drink or 9 with him, but man, he's an arrogant SOB, aint he? He told a story about getting plastered at a party and asking a woman over 50 how sex was after 50. With his mom, dad, and wife at the table. He is so pompous, that I've began liking him more.
  10. This is a tough game for me. We're paying tuition to Auburn, but I love my Dawgs!
  11. A lot of people don't like Starbucks. Generally speaking, if you're a Foldgers person, you're not going to like Starbucks. But, I'm with Blue. I'll drink a Coors or Natty light, but I much prefer a better beer. I guess I'm a fan of the robust taste. And yes, I think that my venti americano is a bit over $2.00...which isn't much different than fast food chains. PLUS, my Starbucks has fabulous eye candy.
  12. All the normal lingo works too I usually just get an Americano, but in the fall I always look forward to my Vente, non-fat pumpkin spice latte, no whip! I have to go every morning, and I think I go more to start off my day then to get their coffe. Something about your barista knowing you and seeing the same customers that makes me all warm and fuzzy and ready to take on the world. I meet friends up there as well to play UNO, it's a great place to meet before the movies, and if I want to work away from the house - it's perfect. And refills are only .054!
  13. This one just doesn't do it for me. I need the dance. It's the visual of a start/stop. Did you ever see the one at Hartsfield?
  14. Starbucks makes their hot chocolate out of milk...that's what my son gets in the morning. I guess if you're not a coffee drinker, it would make sense that you've never been, but they have other great drinks. A they serve hot breakfast sandwiches that are yummy and healthier than most!
  15. A Starbucks. There are TWO people in another thread that have NEVER been to a Starbucks. This is nuts to me. I actually had to work Starbucks into my budget because I spend, on average, $100-$150 a month there. Starbucks...isn't this where you meet friends? Chat? Play Uno? Work?
  16. Or Darling Significant Other... Resolution isn't high enough on our Xmas card photos and I have no time to take new ones. Can you please tell me where you get your cards done? I'm hoping that maybe I can find a template that works better with the pictures that we have. Thank you.
  17. It's this a bad time to bring up the loss of a taint and decrease in hose pressure? Good luck Ern, I'm sure all will be well. Keep us posted!
  18. Thank you for sharing your story about how this company made good on their promises. I also feel that it's important to point out that Abbott is also one of the largest contributors of disaster relief and third world formula donation in the world. Keep in mind that all multi-billion dollar companies will have an occassional oversight during a recall.
  19. Secret squirrell lunch! Friday at the usual? Tell ww not to wear panties.
  20. Well there are certainly people in the church that judge and condemn. Fortunately, they have to answer too. These are usually the same people that watch the offering plate.
  21. It's not that people don't care, it's that we don't have time. Two working parents, I simply don't have time to quaff my hair every morning and make sure that my son's shoes are shined. But I'll work on it. And in my free time, I'll go to a church and celebrate the God that understands that I could spend Wednesdays and Sundays in a lot of places, my respect is that I choose - with my limited time - to spend it as his house. Disclaimer: Thank you Jesus for blessing me with the financial means to have someone else take care of my hair and nails so that I have the free time to spend wit
  22. With the throngs of people turning away church and God, I don't care if someone wants to come in their g-string...c'mon, sit down, and let me introduce you to my dad. As for me, I wear jeans. Call it "dressing down" if you'd like, but I look more put together in my jeans than half the women in their "slacks"...of course, that would be if dress had ANYTHING to do with worship. Some of y'all might want to skim through Mathew Chapter 7 this evening. The one time that I do dress is Easter - I love the hats and pastels and it just reminds me that spring is here. And I match my dress to the
  23. Just let me know when you find Jesus in a waffle. NC and I will alert the local churches and then laugh at you.
