  1. Dude, I'm fairly sure that was sarcasm.
  2. How dare anyone be responsible for their own kid.
  3. And, a pack of thank you notes.
  4. ^^^ This I had a shower for all three of mine. However, my first was a boy, my second was a girl, and 5yrs after the boy, number three was a surprise, and 13yrs later then number 2. Thank you notes are still a must. But, I guess simple manners, and respect are going out the window. My daughter also had a shower for both of her kids. Again baby 1 was a boy, and baby 2 was a girl, also 5yrs later. When kids are very close (except for gender) they can use the older babies stuff. They may as well get used to hand me downs anyways.
  5. I've never met her, but I've met you once. If she is anything like you she's pretty awesome.
  6. I hope little one gets to sleeping all night soon. I'm not much help. I let my kids set their own sleep schedule. They also nursed till they weaned themselves, and we co-slept. So even if they did wake, they nursed, and went right back to sleep.
  7. Well, shoot. Poor little guy. Well, like I posted before, we love Dr. Beckford. The only time DS has seen any other Doctor is if Dr. Beckford was off, or just didn't have any sick appointments. They've always been great for us, and have always listened to my concerns with respect. We are going on 15yrs with her. She has seen DS from the day he was born. I never got the feeling they were in it for the money.
  8. Just curious, did they want to give you the same antibiotic for the third go round? I went through the same illness with my youngest, we did two rounds of Amoxi, and the PA wanted to give him the same amoxi for the third round. I asked her if amoxi didn't work the first two times why did she think it would work for the third? Then I asked for Augmentin. She changed the script to Augmentin, and he cleared right up. He hasn't had any more problems since. He is 14 now, and he was about 6mos old at the time. I do understand that your issue is the billing. Hopefully your little one is feeling be
  9. Wasn't my point. But, oh well. My oldest, and dearest friends are my Choir buddies. I have come to the conclusion that no matter how much one does or does not spend on a toy seems to be a matter of the mentally of the person buying said item. Personally I can't see spending that kind of money on a doll. No more then I can see spending a ton of money on clothing, or cars/trucks. If one wants to spend that kind of money (PT Barnum said it best) then go for it. It's your money spend it on what you want.
  10. Apperantly to some, we just don't need to worry our pretty little head. After all they know what's best. : /
  11. We use Dr. Averl Beckford she is with Cobb Pediatrics, and Adolescents. We do drive out to the South Cobb location just to see her.
  12. Your ASSumeing that you touched a nerve, to which you would be sorely mistaken. From your answer I presume that your definition on this subject would be that anyone who disagrees with you is the "uneducated" ones. Again how if the "uneducated" (BTW your previous statement infers that you would prefer that one remains so) does not ask questions would the same persons become educated? Now while I do understand that bringing business to the area can be a good thing, the question is how to bring said business? Also the question of what do we want our community to be? We all know what we don't
  13. Excuse me???? I suppose that you think that one asking questions, and offering their "uneducated" opinion is wrong. Tell me oh wise one what to you is an 'uneducated" opinion? How do you propose that those who are "uneducated" become educated? Or, are the ones you consider "uneducated" the ones who disagree with you? As far as the schools, I hate to tell you this (as you appear to be quite uneducated about this) but, the schools in Paulding are just as good as the schools in Cobb. It is the parents job to help the student get the most out of any school they are in. Although a charter school
  14. The difference is that the kids can make real life friends that last a life time. Also the physical exercise is a much better IMO then something that will be tossed to the side in a couple of years. I also agree that it's your money spend it the way you want.
  15. I know that we learned about history better back when I was in school compared to what the kids are taught today. We also had classes that were devoted to us understanding exactly how the government works. The class was called Civics. Now it seems that the things we learned in depth are now just glossed over. I have also taken more of an interest since I've gotten older.
  16. So what your saying is that any "progress" for the sake of progress is a good thing. I'm thinking that there will always be those who if it's shiny, and new will think it's a great idea. What about that reservoir? Why do we want to be Cobb County? Should we not look at what we already have to offer? How many empty buildings do we already have? Can none of them be re purposed, and expanded? But, to build just to build is irresponsible at worse, and shot sighted at best. I know that we moved out from Cobb County, because of the more laid back way of life here. I wonder how many others
  17. Why could they not use the big room off the the left hand side of the doors where you go into the court house? That place is huge, and it can be decorated so awesomely. From what I've seen of the courthouse complex there is a lot that it could be used for. If the concern is hotels, and such seems like there is a ton of area around the courthouse that can be used for that. Besides I thought that the 120/278 area was being built up for the hospital, and medical stuff.
  18. The kids started that pathway program in 6th grade. Once they get to 8th all the pathways classes and such are supposed to be ready to go. I'm still confused as heck.
