I remember when Hiram was nothing but a post office, a small liquor store and a few gas stations. We used to drive to Whitlock Ave every Friday to get groceries because that was the nearest Kroger. We also drove to Whitlock to eat Krystals cause we didnt have one here. I think the commercial explosion in Hiram was a bad thing. Hiram is a MESS and I hate going there, really! I'd take a mud bog over Hiram traffic any day!

Yeah I saw on the news that these girls are planning on filing a lawsuit. Big surprise there. She committed a felony by hitting a cop, and now she wants a reward.

My mom and little sister live in White (Bartow County). They are okay but they have a big tree that fell on the back of their house. It was fairly uneventful here in Yorkville, luckily! We had a few close calls though.

I grew up in New Hope, back when 'East Paulding Drive' was 'Dragstrip Road'. Every weekend they had races at the Dragstrip speedway and man was it loud!! I thought it was pretty neat actually. Me and my brother loved listening to it.

They are saying NW GA will get hit by this line in a few hours. I am very seriously considering going and getting my kids out of school here in a little bit. I do NOT want them on a bus during a severe T-Storm. I really need to turn the news off, they are making me a nervous wreck talking about these storms.

Channel 5 FOX just said next round of storms is hitting in the next 3-4 hours. That's when the kiddos will be on buses coming home from school. Yikes!

Oh no! My husband gets off work at 6 tonight and will be driving to Paulding from Carroll County around that time.

I think the worst has blown over here in Yorkville, got real scary for a minute. And they are saying this is NOTHING compared to whats coming tonight.

I don't get the hype about the Royal Wedding either. But like a lot of people have mentioned, the media is creating this frenzy. I dont think people are as obsessed with it as the media portrays. It is a historical event that is newsworthy, but we have plenty going on here that needs a share of this 24/7 coverage William & Kate are getting. I mean my gosh they've already had their own Lifetime movie. lol I know one thing, if things dont change here, and if Obama gets re-elected in 2012 I just might high-tail my butt over to the UK. HA!

It annoys me how the media is turning this into some sort of red carpet Hollywood junk. Theres all the speculation on who the dress designer will be, and that kind of stuff. I mean does it really matter who designed her dress??? This is a royal wedding, the future King & Queen of England, not the grammys.

I use old el paso with the white Mexican melting cheese, but I shred it instead of melting it. It is awesome. And I only use about half the taco seasoning pack for 2 lbs of beef, I add it directly to meat before I drain it. I don't add water and stuff like the box says. Hubby wants it at least once a week.

I always wondered why Hiram PD doesn't do something about all the folks parked on the striped parking spaces. There is always people parked on them. They could make a fortune in ticket revenue there. People have zero regard for the law.

Verizon has way, way better customer service. Both companies are expensive.

Oh I wish my credit was solid enough to buy a home right now, there are some GOOD deals out there! You can get a foreclosed house in my neighborhood for about $35K. These houses were going for about $90K back in 2005.

Eeew I was on Roswell Road Friday night when those severe storms rolled through, HUGE hail and tornado sirens going off, it was scary. Im so over these storms!

I had an administrative job at a roofing company many years ago. I quit the job because I watched the owner 'invent' roofing issues with their customers who were well off, just to make more money off them. And that company went under not long after I left. Karmas a ..., well you know! I would do the right thing.

Yes! The Omni!! I saw the Ringling Bros Barnum & Bailey Circus there for my birthday one year in the mid 1980s, and I saw Disney on Ice there too when I was a kid. The Disney show had Tron, which was 'new' when I saw it, that tells you how I am. HA!

Ditto on Angry Birds. I also like Plants vs Zombies a lot, but it costs $2.99 but worth it IMO. I love puzzle games, the games I play a lot are Tiki Totems, Aqueducts, and I've really gotten into a game called Haunted Manor. Smurf Village is fun if you like Farmville-type games. Also for more practical type apps, I like The Weather Channel App and Gas Buddy. Gas Buddy shows you the prices of all the gas stations in your area to help you find the cheapest.

Yes, Iphone has Shazam along with Sound Hound which works like Shazam, and also 'Into Now' that will tell you what TV or movie you're watching. Oh and Jelli. Jelli ROCKS, I love it! I had a Droid Incredible, actually I just sold it on here not long ago. Decent phone, but iPhone is much better. In my experience, iPhones tend to be more stable than the Droid phones and last longer. Plus Droid Market has NO Plants vs Zombies. Booooooo! LOL!

iPhone is best and I've used both. We are actually leaving verizon at the end of the month, we are gonna buy iPhone 3Gs and using them with tmobile. AT&T is horrid and verizon is too expensive.
