Well if I had to pick of the three I would take the taser, five seconds and it is done. My next choice would be the 40 hrs In lockup. The OC hurts like hell to begin with and for the next hour, then annoys the hell out of you the rest of the day. AND HEAVEN FORBID, you do not bend over at the waist when you shower that night…..EEEEYYYYOOOOOOWWWWWWWW -

Not me, I'll take the taser ride anyday, but if I was told I need to get sprayed again, I'll turn in my OC. -

Don’t get me wrong on wikipedia, it is a good source for information but I know SOOOO many people who do not understand what wikipedia is and accept whatever they read on there as the gospel. Not implying that you are one of those people, I just like to bring that out when I get the chance. -

Yea, I caught that. But when you are thinking 40 hrs, most of us think of a M-F (5) day work week. But either way, to be required to endure what is administered to guilty people as punishment in the name of influencing ones decision on the enforcement of established law just doesn’t fly with me. It is bad enough that we must endure getting pepper sprayed and shot with a taser in order to be able to carry them. -

Well for what wikipedia is worth… As I understand it the people were told to play a role, without any formal training the only thing they could do is play the role parallel to the only exposure to prison guards that they have ever had, and the extent of that is what they have seen in movies and the general public perception of a prison guard. And then using innocent people who have committed no crime, had no trial and conviction to all the sudden be prisoners I am sure has a entirely different psychological effect. I would say that study was doomed from the beginning. In a real prison -

I can honestly say, I have never committed a felonious act as a juvenile……or as an adult. The notion that law enforcement officers should be required to do a week in lockup is ludicrous. Our decisions are guided by established law and a system that gives law enforcement discretion in a lot of matters. I will be the first to agree that our justice system is not perfect but it beats the hell out of a martial system anyday. Bottom line, it’s not my fault if someone chooses to break the law and suffers inconvenience as a result. -

It has been a number of years since I have worked law enforcement in Georgia, but it appears to me that the requirements for service of a suspension and the requirements for making a case on driving on suspended have not changed much over the years. The statute I posted covering that issue is current. Unless things have changed drastically in Georgia since the 90s: Your ticket should have had a court date on it. If you do not show up for court usually you are found guilty and the court sends you a notice of disposition, a fine amount and a date to pay it by. If you fail to pay, the co -

I would ask you to back this up, but from prior experience when asked to provide reference to your accusations you resort to name calling, ignore list and whatnot. One only need to read prior post between us to know who the idiot is. -

“a ticket that should have never been written” but you got pulled over in Atlanta a few weeks later? Just what is it about you that is attracting so much attention from the POPO? Stopped TWICE in a two week period????? Unless the suspension had been served you would not have been in in a position to be arrested for driving on suspended. When we make a stop and the driver is suspended we check is to see if the suspension had been served. If it has then you take a ride, if not we serve the suspension at that time. SO the only way you would have been in danger of going to jail that day is -
There is no statutory restriction on taking a photo of a license plate. The networks blur them out to help cover them from any civil litigation that may result from the airing of the footage on television.

I gain several pounds during the event. Not to mention it’s boiled p-nut HEAVEN.

I grew up in south GA, peanut land. I've harvested many seasons worth of peanuts. I knew those years of FFA and 4H would come in handy for something. If you can swing it I highly recommend a trip to this event.http://www.nationalpeanutfestival.com/ Its only four short hours from Hiram.

The difference is moisture content. Green peanuts have a high moisture content. When you roast a peanut you are removing moisture from the “nut” , so using raw peanuts that already have a diminished moisture content is a non issue. When you boil peanuts, if you use green peanuts there is a significant amount of moisture already in the “nut” and shell, so the salt water you cook them in infuses the shell and nut easier than one that is raw with a lower moisture content. (Once they are dry they do not re-hydrate easily) The best peanuts for boiling is to pull some up a week or so before they are

RAW peanuts are generally available year round at most stores. GREEN peanuts are harder to find and show up around harvest time in October-November. Raw peanuts are ok for roasting but are not any good at all boiled.

Dont yall know, Chicago is the ghetto. Aint yall ever seen good times? As far as dumbing down/doing away with test, Atlanta did it years ago. Minority groups complained that there were a disproportionate number of whites in supervisory rolls and minorities were passed up for promotions. SO, APD came up with a competitive exam for those seeking promotions. What happened? The number of whites obtaining promotions increased. SO, what did Atlanta do? They caved to the threats of minority rights groups. They provided points for being a certain race, more points for being a certain

I have heard it over the last 24 years. I Just can’t find anything that gives them cart blanche on the roadway as far as traffic law is concerned. Been pointed in the direction of USC 18-1-83 §1701 1702, but that don’t cut it. I have also been told that it is because it is a “federal vehicle” that does not cut it either. The only exemption the government could claim is if an officer left a non moving “parking ticket” on the vehicle with no driver info, then by the sovereign immunity clause the government would not be liable to pay the citation. The fact that one is required to have a drivers l -

Ok, I’ll bite. What statute or code exempts mail delivery drivers from traffic law while operating on public roadways? I can tell ya right now it is not USC 18-1-83 §1701 1702.
