  1. Correct. I was replying from my crack berry and did not want to get into the whole ICAO thing. Was not expecting any one else on here catch my minor “misinformation“ on where these identifiers came from.
  2. Pubby, howabout a mobile Pcom app????
  3. Each airport in the US has a unique I'd assigned to it by the FAA. Paulding's is KPUJ, cartersville is KVPC ect. These are what a pilot uses when flight planning. The "common names" of an airport are irrelevant to a pilot.
  4. Pilots still know it as KPUJ. That's all that matters.

    Nolo

I think every one here has the wrong idea about the NOLO plea. You can plead NOLO to most any charge, criminal or traffic but it is at the discretion of the judge if he/she will allow this plea to be entered.. There is no across the board rule as to a once per year use of the NOLO plea. Certain offences such as DUI do not permit the defendant to use the NOLO plea if it has been used for that offence within the last five years. These limitations on the use of NOLO plea are set forth in the particular statute pertaining to the offence. Georgia Code - Criminal Pro
  6. You preachin to the choir on that one…………
  7. BOTTOM LINE….. Pay the fine and be done with it or; Your husband is innocent of the charge until one of two things happens. He pleads guilty and pays the fine OR a court finds him guilty. The burden of proof is on the state. Exercise your (his)rights, go to court, the officer will make his case as to a violation of state traffic law witnessed by him that was committed by your husband. Your husband may then present any defense. The judge will decide. No sense in fretten over it.
  8. I have been doing this for a while; I can spot an innocent bump of the line and will usually ignore it unless something else warrants that I make contact with the driver. On the other hand I can spot an aggressive driver a mile away and anticipate his move, as he makes that move into the NONO zone he spots me and has second thoughts and is now sitting there over the line looking all innocent, I will have a chat with him.
  9. It is like fishing, we catch em when we see them, they may not all be trophies and we may throw some back (warnings), but we can only get one at the time. If we sat idle waiting for the “BIG ONE” what would the threshold be, and as soon as we found and “caught” the elusive big one would we miss out on an even bigger one?
  10. Do you really think that “revenue” even enters an officer’s mind in these situations? I have been a cop for a long time and I can honestly say of the thousands of citations I have issued “revenue” has never entered my mind; until I am accused of issuing a citation for the sake of generating such.
  11. With all due respect, I am not the one with the citation. One need only to venture to the east side of the HWY 92 and 278 intersection to see what a problem that people who refuse to stay in their lane and merge into the left turning lane at the proper point causes for those of us who do and for those attempting to get out from the K mart or tire store.
  12. Here is one way to look at it. There is no way that any person can know the entire traffic code and the elements of each violation verbatim. So look at the $140 fine your husband may incur as tuition for a traffic law class for your son, as your son will surely know now that one does not cross solid lines in the roadway for any reason.
  13. Research the distribution of the monies collected in the form of criminal and civil fines, then come back and let us know how much the county actually keeps.
  14. I guess I have loved every job I have ever had or I would not have done them. I really do miss DJing in the clubs in Atlanta back when Atlanta had a night life. Out of all of the venues I have DJ’d in I miss Mardi gras (powers ferry) the most.

  18. TOTALITY OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES A totality of the circumstances standard suggests that there is no single deciding factor, that one must consider all the facts, the context, and conclude from the whole picture whether there is probable cause.
  19. The the two cases differ on the basis of intent and malice. with the dog fighting both criteria could be proven, in the DUI they could not be proven.
