I can't wait and love that the smoking ban has put a huge hole where smokers tax money was filling and that non smokers now have to pay for all that smokers used to pay alone. :yahoo: It was noted by the current and former governor that expected extra tax money from smokers would pay for extra medical care for children and now they don't have that money because so many smokers are quitting. I love how this plan back fired on the state and governor. I am a former smoker and yes, smoking does have a place and non smokers for the most part are the very rude people I have come to find out

The sad part is that the company usually over looks people like this as to train a replacement is expensive. Only when it impacts the customer directly, does anything change. Been in two jobs with slugs like this thread. Last job...the slug is still there. Current slug is back at corporate getting retrained.

I do love the varied statements about video tape etc... I sure do remember those on here telling me to sut up an pay the ticket.. So with that in mind...pay the ticket and slow down as you have to be guilty if you got pulled over according to most of the folks on here. I do have a few questions for those doing the same or worse off. Not counting your homes value. Have you tried enhancing you skill set, or education level to make you more marketable? With the current and past economy, you have you to continually upgrade your skills. If you don't then you are looking for a job with outdated skills or general skills. And with kids, with a higher education, you are out skilled for many jobs. I just am pointing out odvious facts that a lot of people forget. The days of high wages for unskilled workers are gone. Yes, much better. I am working at a higher paying job and have increased my skill level significantly. My home is now worth about 50K more then when I bought it. I have moved on and taken a no future job and company left it behind. The CEO constantly padded his pockets with the workers pay cuts. I saw and opportunity and took the job and it has paid off rather well. Yes I lost a ton of money on my old home. I think the neighborhood was going down and I should have jumped earlier. The economy is not much better, but we are not in a depression like so many other countries

I agree that the laws are slowly edging away women's rights. I could care less bout abody piercing. But she should have the right to do it. Not being ble to is restricting a right. The aboortzion law is a step closer to rusty hangers. And it is a women's body...period. I am sad I am not doing anything to prevent these laws from happening. I am also scared women are doing less.

It is kind of true... Just the bulk of tele marketers did not get you number and are not supposed to call you. What is does not say is who did get your number, so I went ahead and called anyway. I updated my home phone number too. Takes only about a minute anyway.

I read the article and for the most part your right (Snopes) and it does that the bulk of telemarketers should not be calling you. I rather have the number on the list to avoid the calls and have the ability to wait for the name of the company and then report them. I get these calls from time to time and report it each time. I listen for the name of the company and then tell them I am busy and need a call back number. Then report them. Or I just tell them hang on a sec... let me get a pad and pencil and then put the phone down....

I use to think it was wasted money, but it has a odd way of putting money in the economy. As long as each side spends the same it does not matter much in the end. That is millions put in the market that other wise might not be spent.

You don't mention the amount of jobs available, but no body has the education to fill those jobs. You can't have high paying jobs without an education. And put people in jobs the don't know enough to do the job. There are jobs out there..you just need the skills to get hired. And there is not enough low paying / skilled jobs out there. Sucks, but it is 100% true...
