Ummm just wanted to add that I would always buy lunch or snack for kids and go without myself before I would ever let a kid go hungry, even if their parents didn't care if their own kid was hungry. One time a boy's toes were sticking out the end of his tennis shoes and I went and bought him new shoes. And I never got a thank you from any of the parents for any of it either. That is what teachers do all the time.Every year.

Way to go girl! I hope I can finish my doctorate in education one day.

Teachers have always had to spend their own money on school supplies for some of the kids. Not only that, but I know I have personally bought clothing and shoes for kids whose parents couldn't or wouldn't buy the clothes and shoes that their kids needed. And I know a lot of other teachers that have bought clothes and shoes too. And food. We buy food for kids. I used to buy lunches for kids and never got paid back, but I knew I wouldn't to start with. One year all a little boy wanted for Christmas was a Christmas tree because they weren't going to have one and we bought him a tree. Mama didn'

In my humble opinion, I think we should be more concerned with the condition of the human infant than a dang dog.

Oh my gosh, can you imagine seeing a child on fire!!! http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/07/21/milwaukee.rescue/index.html

It probably depends on the hospital as to whether they put clothes on them or not. My grandson was in NICU for 6 weeks. I had bought all kinds of clothes for him but had them at home. The nurses bought him a couple of outfits and put one on him before I went in to visit which made me feel like crap because it made me feel like they thought I didn't care enough to buy him clothes. I took a bunch of his clothes to the hospital for him to wear then and they put them on him or his Mom did every day. He was hooked up to all the monitors and tubes too for the 6 weeks. I think you might ask if the

My question is how did the dog get the infant outside? Did they have a petdoor big enough to carry the baby outside? I put a screen door up on my baby's room before I brought him home from the hospital so my cat and dog would not go in there. Prayers being said that the the baby recovers from his injuries. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,534230,00.html

One of my Mom's friends died suddenly in her 30s when I was maybe 13. I had babysat for her and we had all spent a lot of time with the family. I asked to go to her funeral because I was devastated she had died and she was such a nice, funny lady. My older sister and other siblings made fun of me for wanting to go, never did figure that out. But I got to say goodbye to her anyway. It really depends on the closeness of the child to the person and if they want to say goodbye.Maybe ask the child how he/she feels about going and explain what they will see and that they can say goodbye to them.

No ideas on housing, but have her apply for Food Stamps. She might qualify for a few; I know a lady that got $16.oo worth a month and her disability check was lower than your Mom's. However, she will most likely qualify easily for heating assistance and cooling assistance so have her apply for that for sure. Every little bit helps, even 16 bucks worth of Food Stamps. Also, have her check into Senior Citizens programs where she might can go for socialization and get a free or reduced cost lunch or Meals on Wheels delivered lunches.Lots and lots of places give senior citizen discounts too so ha

I myself wouldn't take a child younger than maybe 13 to a funeral or wake unless it was someone they were really close to. Kids sometimes do a lot better with death than we think they will. My best friend's younger son was shot to death when he was 13. I had a very difficult time with it because I was with him minutes before it happened and felt the death aura as I was leaving their house 5 minutes before he died. I helped clean up up the blood from the furniture and carpet, futile I know. I also went to the middle school and cleaned out his locker and cried when I saw all the Snoopy and

I have seen a few at Sears but they were all white and expensive. Go through all the baby clothes at Walmart; they are mixed in with the others. Penney's usually has some. If the infants are especially small, doll clothes work great and are usually cheaper, probably cuter too. Congratulations on the new additions to the family. Do you have names and weights and lengths, pics please?

What is the name of that store Madea?

Wrong!!! I am a 58 year old mom and grandmom with a ton of college courses on kids and psychology under my belt and even more years and years, about 30, of working with kids. If you do not emphasize how bad of an infraction this is to him, he will not learn that it is serious and he is not to do it again. However, if he hears it at home or in the back yard next door or at his cousin's house, you might have a rough time getting him to stop doing it.My niece has a 6 year old son and she and her husband barely even discipline that kid at all. He is a holy terror! He knows nothing will ever

Yep, I put rice in mine. Now that I try to eat healthy, I use a little bit of brown rice,it is just the rice before the good stuff is taken out to make the white rice lol.I freeze some too sometimes so I can just pull them out and eat them. I like them a lot and make them frequently, especially since my big brother has a wonderful garden with lots of peppers.

I sent you a PM with a tip for him to try; I don't know if it will help any, but it sure can't hurt any!

I have fibromyalgia really bad. I recently began taking the new medicine, just out for about 2 months maybe , called Savelle. It works on the noreprenephrine in the brain. It is exactly what I needed. I am now pain free for the most part of the day, sleeping at night for the first time in many years, am thinking much better ( fibro fog is not nearly as bad). I don't have much energy, but I do have a little more than I did before the Savelle. Yes, the fatigue can get so bad you really can't get out of the bed and have to drag yourself out to go potty or eat.It is a lot like the fatigue y

I have bought them at Big Lots stores before. I love them too. I have had several different kinds before;Easter bunnies, Russian girls, Santa Clauses, all kinds. Keep looking; you will find some. Seems like I bought some at a religious store before too.

Oh, this is a cute thread! My aunt's maiden name was Ruth Helen Ruth, so she would still have Ruth in her name after she married. Actually, in genealogy, I learned this used to be the custom.Either that or my Grandma or Grandpa was determined to have a Ruth for a daughter! One of my best freinds in high school was named Cindy Smith and she married a man named Smith, so she didn't have to change her name at all. That would have saved a lot of time with changing the drivers license, social security card, etc.

I agree with you on that sirius. I don't want anyone else's body stuff in my body either. I even donated my own blood before my surgery so if I neeeded blood, I would get my own back. But your smoke and air, yucko.I wonder if anything contagious can be carried out of a body on smoke. I wonder if a study has been done on that yet. I don't know why it couldn't be carried out in your smoke. The moisture from your lungs would still be in your smoke I would think. Yuck! Aids particles maybe? Flu germs? YUCKO!!!!!!!!!!!

I worked with about 2,000 pre-school kids and I only remember one kid ever saying the F*** word and he was repeating what his parents said at home. Never one time did a kid call me or any of my staff a stupid b****. There were a few sh*** over the years. I would recommened either what Psycho mom said or Baby Kake. But be harsh. A three year old knows exactly what he did wrong at daycare, trust me.He can tell you everything that happened at daycare that day. He will be bragging about it most likely. What Slumber Party said to do is good too. Lemon juice used just a few times will n

There is nothing more sickening than someone trying to kiss you after they have smoked. My husband used to try to kiss me after his last cigarette before bed and GAG!!!!!!!Nothing worse than that. Puke puke puke!!!No nooky that night for sure. It is making me sick just thinking about it.
-
Excuse me, but most smokers are not considerate. They throw their butts down all the time eveywhere. Why else was I taking my lunch hour where I worked and picking up hundreds of cigarette butts off the grounds of a park when I don't even smoke? Why else is there all kinds of cigarette smoke blowing in my direction whenever I go out in public for me to breathe and get COPD and cancer and I don't even smoke? No, smokers are the rudest, most inconsiderate and uncaring bunch of peoeple on earth. They want to have their pleasuree from their addiction and they don't caree who else they give a fat

I have it. I can't take antivert; it makes me feel awful. So my ENT prescribed one of the older meds for it and it helped a lot. I have fallen out of chairs when I get a spell of it and I also crossed the 4 lane and was on the other side. Luckily, there was not a car there at that time. I usually go to bed and stay there until it gets better.
