  1. My wife went to the Honda dealer that most would know around here a few months after getting the car for a brake noise. They charged her for a check that was due and I know they never looked at them, if they did they would have seen the loose carriage bolt I tightened so the caliper was not slapping around. Here was my business philosophy when we had Scarlet Indulgence, it obviously worked as we did great. You can get in a person's pocket deep once but when they figure it out that is the last time. I would rather be in a customer's pocket often and them enjoying me being there. Will I buy
  2. If it is the "Running Horse Bank", I noticed that if you make more than 3 transfers there is a monthly fee. That is pretty steep.
  3. what's really sad is that this is news at all! If I recall, she got fame from her naked flick with her x-boyfriend first. Hmmm...wonder if Kris Humphries had a video or two running... Seriously, there are much more important things going on in this Country and this is news. Sad.
  4. Said for sure, many here know I have 1 kidney and issues with it. Our friend Lisa here in Paulding lost her arms and legs due to kidney failure. Bruce
  5. Sad day, went to Kennesaw, Ga to a memorial ride at Noonday BMX. Many riders out there with Kovachi Wheels and shirts. I wore my 2006 Redline cup shirt, Evan took home 1st that year, it was a fun ride home from Ohio. We could not have won without John's help and wheels, that was our first big race on Kovachi wheels. When I picked up the wheels I got Evan from school and we drove over to his shop.... Evan listened to John like God was talking when it came to BMX as did I. As a kid in NY I read about John in BMX magazine's, he road for Torker. We took a picture of those there on the first turn,
  6. Might be just the slap down they need to fire them up! Thought the QB did what he could under pressure, they were all over him. Either way time to look forward! Go East!
  7. Hopefully they come from this learning lessons needed for post season.
  8. We need Pcom live casts through Ustream or something!
  9. He built Evan's wheels that he won the Redline cup on. I plan on wearing my 2006 Redline shirt to the memorial. I heard stories about him and others building wheels doing different then what we were taught. Of course it is standard now. The first time I saw someone lay a wheel flat and stand on the spokes and adjust it by the squeaking was in 1989. John was a master of master builders literally as he taught many. I mentioned BMX but of course he built many mtn and road rims for pros all over the world. I think John Jr is 15? Bruce
  10. Updated info It is with deep sorrow that we must announce the passing of a master wheel builder and a truly great friend, John Kovachi. A memorial fund has been set up in John's name. Anyone wishing to donate can send their checks made payable to the John Kovachi Memorial Fund to: John Kovachi Memorial Fund c/o Dinah Dennis 3843 Cowan Circle Acworth, Georgia 30101 There will be a graveside service at Kennesaw Memorial Park Thursday, October 27th at 2PM. Ride in Memory of John Kovachi Come join us Sunday at Noonday bmx in Marietta @ 1:00 for an afternoon of riding and reflect
  11. He was awesome. I was in Cobb hospital myself so I just found out. I was sitting there waiting to hear if I got to go home or not this morning and thought about John. I was trying to figure out how long it had been, last time he did wheel for Evan I think 2 years ago he told me it would be 10 years July 4 so I am thinking about 12 years. I hope his son is taking it as best anyone can.
  12. No details, I do know about 12 years ago he had a heart transplant. Still waiting to here about arrangements , check www.cobbcountybmx.com Thanks John for all you did for so many. Bruce & Evan I just got out of the hospital today myself so I may reply fast here.
  13. I know it has been asked over the years but I can't find any topics. I have a pile and I am letting the kids take it.
  14. Tech does free tours of the campus that are interesting, you see some nice views of the stadium. There is also a free museum on campus at The Institute of Paper & Science Technology on 10th and Hemphill. At that location parking is free for visitors.
  15. Pubby, I completely agree! I am very thankful he wasn't killed himself or that someone else! I am so glad to hear that he is back in school today. Jail is not where he needs to be, ISS will give him time to really think and have some prospective. I'm sure he will do whatever he needs to in order to put it past him. I know that rumors among teens start at one thing and end up telling something else...been there done that with our oldest son. So we don't put much credit on rumors among teens. My brother has wrecked every car he has EVER had and he was lucky to be alive...doing stupid things
  16. I live directly off Bill Carruth Pkwy and in the mornings that I take my granddaughter to school, I can barely get out of our subdivision (right at Hiram Sudie, before Nebo). Try taking Bill Carruth from 278 towards Hiram High around 4pm and you will see why it needs to be widened. It has taken a LOT of traffic of Hwy 92 to the point now that Bill Carruth Pkw is overcrowded now. Also, it will be connected on the south end of 92 directly across 92 to the new road that will go up around Clayeborne Pkwy (sp?) which will also take a ton of traffic off the small neighborhoods that commuters to A
  17. Our son knows this kid and never thought he would do anything like this. It got around very quickly at school after the incident. There was a lot more than alcohol involved in this incident. He didn't take off because he didn't have a license. This just proves that kids this age do not have fully developed brains and they do things impulsively which leads to things like this. It is sad to me as this kid has ruined his life. He will pay for this a long time to come. I'm sure his parents are devastated. Scarlet
  18. Stay with Comcast. We went with direct tv for 2 years and ended up dropping our package to the $29 with direct tv and paid the last 2 payments while already being hooked up to Xfinity. In the end, it isn't really more expensive. It was actually cheaper for us to get all the sports and movie channels than it was to do it on direct tv (it has become 99% of our entertainment). plus, when we had storms, we would lose reception. We love Xfinity!
  19. I hear ya, Evan finally switched to saver stamps.
  20. Great idea I have a bunch of those rubber bracelets with positive sayings on them you are welcome to. I may have 200 or so, need to look. I am trying to go through it but my health has not been so good, as I look I will see what else I have.
  21. In NY the Guidos(what us Italians that button down our shirts and wear lots of gold call ourselves) do that in parking lots. I never got into the Guido trend, I was more of a 70's rocker. When I sold cars in the 80's they all loved the Camaro and Mustangs, when they would trade them in we called it the optional attitude package. That way the appraiser would know to go look for the car parked across a few spots. We also at that time would get a lot of Maxima'a with the optional crack dealer special value package. They would have more in gold on the car then the car was worth. Hope you and t
