I always have compassion for someones pain whether they deserve it or not. I have a very strong belief that if you take pleasure in someone else's karma train pulling into the station it brings the worse kind of karma on you. Think you used sound judgment. You knew that Pastor Brian had been given permission by the family to release the name publicly as his FB page is public. Many on here have kids in HS and wanted the correct information for their kids. Not only that many may know the family and wish to help out. It certainly would have been worse for the wrong names to put out as some may have thought they were learning of a tragedy that didn't happen to a friend or loved one. Last but not least you are in no way responsible for how people react to information or what they say and do on here.

One of the hardest things a parent does is place their child behind the wheel of a car. Our instinct is to protect them. Every parent prays that they will not be the one to get the call, it is one of my worse fears. My heart goes out to the family, the pain and loss they are feeling must be unbearable. We sometimes forget what a subsidy is. This housing is not owned by the Government, it is privately owned, the government pays the rent to the landlord he makes a profit. We are not so much helping these people as we are subsidizing businesses. The owners of subsidized housing will certainly scream a lot louder that the poor should programs like this end. The very worst thing is that they would have o come way down on the rent of their tiny crappy apts, so that low wage earners could afford to pay for their own housing. That would just be terrible if the Gov. quit subsidizing

Just to clarify the anger I was referring to is what loved ones sometimes experience when they believe that the victim made a conscious choice to hurt loved ones by taking the cowards way out. This is not how depression and mental illness works. The brain develops excessive neural pathways all being about negativity, along with a chemical imbalance that makes it almost impossible for someone with severe depression to help themselves. I am so sorry. Please do not be angry, depression is a fatal disease just like many cancers. Hopefully most people do not blame people for having cancer, they don't withhold compassion as these people suffer and struggle to survive. To treat someone with depression as though they could help themselves is wrong. As long as there is a stigmatism associated with depression and mental diseases people willl continue to not reach out for help. Physical and emotional pain hurt the same when someone has had all they can take of either this is the result.
