You have no idea what I went through, I lived in Connecticut and was well educated about the disease. I knew exactly what I had. I had to beg for treatment and testing. I was even blind for a while. I will never be physically the same. I almost went to North Carolina to get proper treatment, I was afraid they were going to let me die here. I go on this crusade every summer to tell people it is here and to watch for it. I have never been so scared in my life. I become furious every time I think about the lack of education here.

The deer ticks are in their nymph stage which is about the size of a pin head. These ticks can bite you and you never know it. I removed him placed him in a baggy, dated it, and placed it in the freezer. You might ask why? 3 years ago at the end of February or the first week of March I contracted Lyme disease, a disease that supposedly does not exist in our area, since then I have known some others to contract it, with devastating results because our doctors and local health officials are not educated about this disease, It can ruin your life and debilitate you, just ask about it in the nor

I use instant vanilla pudding and sour cream to make a fruit dip. You could add coolwhip to make it lighter.

I have had some really dramatic and traumatic things happen in my life. They have made me spiritually a very strong person, they have made me gentler, kinder and more understand, which is what I believe the purpose is, at the end of your journey you should end up as innocent as you came into this world through being accepting and forgiving, no need for vengeance, no regrets. Every single day that there is no trauma is a blessing, everyday that there is trauma or pain I accept and do my best. I believe that everyone is the recipient of a miracle, if you have not seen it then you are not p

I ran across this and couldn't help but share. Some folks may have already seen the artwork at the Denver airport. I have to say I found the artworks to be somewhat bizarre, especially for a public place. Click through and look at it for yourself, the authors view of it is interesting also. Something is rotten at the Denver Airport Located 25 miles from Denver on a plot of land encompassing 53 square miles (twice the size of Manhattan), sits one of the most curious airpots in the world, The Denver International Airport. Leo and I had a long layover at the airport last weekend. As

   Work it girl work it!!!!! My mom helped deliver my last one at home, it was the best experience ever. We got to do all the tricks they won't let you do at the hospital. I got to labor on the toilet for as long as I wanted, drink orange juice with sugar in it, use the recommended stimulation and endless stretching to keep from tearing. I got to labor on my feet and knees, until she had my husband flip me because I was crowning. It was wonderful and relaxed, I will always have the fondest memories of people that loved me helping me through labor and delivery. -

I can't help teasing you, my mom use to work in labor and delivery and she would tell the ladies they should leave their modesty at home when they check in. After 4 babies she was right :pardon: -

The big question will this deter kids from doing something this destructive next year. I would like to see the energy and the ambition to stand out be channeled in a positive way. I hope that authorities will come up with a positive competition that all seniors could participate in next year. Something the community will make a big deal about in a positive way. A project in a park or an artistic addition to the school. Atlanta news might not cover it but we would love to. I don't want to see young lives ruined this way or our community divided like this again. My heart goes out to t

Probably because big things like this become fodder in elections for candidates. You run for re-election on your record, your opponent always brings up how you handled things like this. I have seen very old things brought up years later, communication just as Kim did is very important because if you don't communicate you allow speculation and speculation can linger and come back to haunt you. I keep up with a lot of things, I can tell you I don't agree with everything our elected officials do just as many don't. Thats fine, but it is important to like or dislike the truth, not the rum

We waste a lot of our precious moments stressing over things or being what others think we should be. Every minute is precious, most of our negative feelings or thoughts are of our own creation, in our own minds and we are wasting what little life we are given. You never get a single moment back no matter what you use to justify the negativity you feel. I understand what the OP is saying about this changing your perspective, my mother's death changed mine. She spent a lot of her life waiting to be happy, because when all the circumstances where right then she could be happy. She dropped

Depending on what type of trees and if you don't have any more options, you might try to contact Firewood man on here and see if he wants them.

I feel sorry that she is going through this, but on the other hand it will build character. I have been thinking about this a lot as many have. We all know people that always for whatever reason come out smelling like a rose no matter how bad they behave. I was never one of those people as a kid and even an adult. I seemed to get caught at everything I did, and even seemed to suffer the worse consequences whether other kids caught at the same thing did. When I was in 2nd grade all the kids would swipe chalk from school and write on the side walks. Of course I got caught by the teacher,

It has been a long time and unfortunately I did not get to see it, there was a tradition of stealing local live stock and putting it in the football field.

I agree, I think we need to be patient, I am reading all the things people are saying that went on in the past, none of the punishments seemed to have worked as a deterrent this means we need to step back and rethink what we are doing when it comes to punishment. We may even want to create a rivalry between seniors at different schools something positive they could do in the community and find a reward for the winning senior class. We need to think through this. We have to look at ourselves and ask why good kids are doing this? Traditions can be changed, what if they all went out at midnigh

I am going to make some folks mad, I think a lot of people are jumping to conclusions about punishment, a lot of it based on rumors. I don't want any snap decisions made about punishment, also we still have kids turning themselves in, probably based on a rumor that the school is not going to do anything to them. I can think of a few good reasons you would want them seen by others at the school and talking to others at the school. I am also pretty sure that LE is working with school administration in the matter. It has not been a week give these people time to do what they need to do and ma

I wanted to thank everyone for their support while I was trying to deal with this issue, just being here and letting me share what I was going through. The person that was having a hard time dealing with my decision relented today. It was difficult to make the decision then have to back out at the last minute. I want to thank Dr. Clay Leathers and his staff at New Hope Animal hospital for not only being understanding yesterday, but being so kind and compassionate today.

A lot of things happen before you go into labor, your body will naturally produce the hormones needed to soften your cervix, when that happens your body will produce hormones to start the labor. Don't make it harder on yourself, keep yourself well hydrated, eat plenty of fruit so you have plenty of potassium on board and plenty of sugar stored in your liver for your long labor. I say rest, I believe that draining your body through too much exercise will stave off labor. You want to walk and sit when it begins, I am a big believer in laboring on your feet, but not walking yourself into labor -
They obviously have not taken punishment from the school very seriously, I think the idea is to see if they will take the criminal justice system serious enough to not consider committing felonies. All the kids are watching and deciding if they want all this attention over their senior prank. It is just like me grounding or spanking my kids, They get to blame me for their punishment, they get to cry fowl or shrug it off. They turn 18 screw up and they have to deal with a whole different level of punishment. This is a different level of punishment that will play out in front of the entire
