I am pretty sure he misspelled the name, if I am not mistaken this is Jason Anavitarte that ran for Kirby's seat post 4, 2 years ago. I think Tony Crowe was in that race also & David Barnett won.

Put it in a plastic baggy date it and put it in the freezer for a few months until you can be positive you have not contracted a tick born illness. They can be hard to diagnose, but the tick will show the type of bacteria making it easier to treat.

You know this is a serious issue, I have no control over who post in this thread, I don't appreciate it being turned into a lets insult TP thread.

The state has a lot to do with what falls under the jurisdiction of the board or school admin. The state also dictates much of what we can and can't do in our county schools. The control a lot of what is done with funds. Anyone of the school board members will sit down with you and explain. In fact many of our county officials are willing to answer questions. The problem is that many people approach them with an attitude and are already very angry about something, they are only human, nobody wants to get blasted and most will avoid it if possible. They have thick skins you have to have the

We are not privy to all of the daily disciplinary issues at the school. Many of these kids would be convicts if LE handled this instead of school administration. A lot of kids are convicts they just have not been incarcerated yet. I believe in strict discipline by the school, it is better for these kids to learn these lessons the hard way before they enter the real world.

Yeah, until the pressure becomes overwhelming I am not especially a political activist, but I intend to do my part in my neck of the woods. I am not especially a big tea party supporter either, but I like this!!! So true I need to look at your schedule, I am getting vacation brain a little early this year Maybe they will quit thinking I am a liberal if I show up with a handful

I have been reading a lot about this. If you would like a few copies to hand out at meetings I would be glad to get them to you.

Bigfoot if you or anyone else is interest, the link in my thread sends you to the site for this activist group. Learn more about the sponsors of this legislation COMMON CAUSE I don't see any of our legislatures signatures on here yet. I can tell you I expect them to sign and those running against them. I will be watching the site to see if their signatures appear by July.

Most Americans are aware of this situation and reform has been talked about for years. The issue of lobbyist bribing law makers is blatantly unethical, yet we don't actively demand it stop. If police officers or judges did this we would be outraged, yet we accept this. The people that these legislatures represent are very fortunate they have elected some very ethical people to represent them, I hope they will remember this when election time rolls around and lobbyist are making huge campaign donations to their opponents. I bet these people aren't very popular on the hill right now. P

This is an issue I am watching very closely and taking note of the supporters and critics in this election cycle. There are more than a few political activist, lobbyist and candidates that I am curious about their views on this. Article Nearly 20 lawmakers or candidates, including the top Republican in the Senate, have signed a pledge promising to support a $100 cap on lobbyist gifts to lawmakers. The bipartisan group includes veteran legislators such as Sen. Nan Orrock, D-Atlanta, Rep. Mark Hatfield, R-Waycross, who is now running for Senate; and state Sen. Josh M

I am not all surprised by this. I have seen the budgets they are on line on the county website. I know we have some archived video of the various dept. heads in the county that had trimmed their budgets to the bone and were concerned with how long they could sustain the cuts and still be functional. Public safety in this county has a lot of land mass to deliver services to. Nobody wants their taxes to go up especially in this economy, but I saw it coming, not because money is being wasted but because our values are not improving on our homes. The 2 houses on either side of me just sold for a c

Another Flesh Eating Bacteria Case in Cartersville

About 2 weeks ago I was pruning rose bushes, I thought I got a thorn in my thumb. I was not sure if it was still in there. 3 hours later it woke me up throbbing and full of pus. By the time I made it to the office I was hunting something to open it with. I opened it, I used peroxide and kept antibiotic cream on it for a few days. I have had weed wackers let out to much string, the guard would cut it and I have had it embed in my calf. Small puncture wounds that close over fast with little or no bleeding are very dangerous, some times you are just in the middle of working or playing and y -

I almost posted this story. It is so sad, even though the story is about a young gay man having a private moment published I can see how horrifying this would be to anyone to have this done to them. Even many married couples would be distressed to have their intimate encounters taped and shared. The other part of this is that if gays were treated equally and with respect this young man would have probably dealt better with being forced out of the closet by someone being vindictive.

The reality is that most challengers will be defeated — and in some cases crushed — by incumbent lawmakers. As of the end of March, lawmakers who are expected to run for re-election this year and their caucus political action committees had almost $9 million in campaign funds. Some top lawmakers have hundreds of thousands of campaign dollars banked for a job that pays $17,342 a year. Election history favors incumbents, too. More than 100 of the state’s 236 lawmakers won re-election in 2010 without opposition, and only eight lost their seats. In 2006, 98 percent of Georgia lawmakers who

Umm homophobes tend to be intolerant of homosexuals, and see them as sexual deviants, abominations, plus predatory as in pedophiles, they think it is righteous to ostracize and punish them. This man assaulted Will publicly, more than likely assuming that he had his public face on and would not react the way most people would. You seem to be confused about Gay rights, many people feel that they have the right to a civil union, they don't equate the right to marry with the right to be excused for breaking the law. I am assuming that you think civil rights for Gays will equate to mor

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXNm28b_2I4&feature=player_embedded MOSCOW — Hollywood star Will Smith slapped a male television reporter who he said tried to kiss him on the lips as he walked down the red carpet for the Moscow premiere of "Men in Black III." The reporter from the Ukrainian television channel 1+1, Vitalii Sediuk, made headlines at the Venice Film Festival in September when he presented a bouquet of clearly unappreciated purple hydrangeas to Madonna and called her "my princess." Smith was even less charmed by the reporter, who approached him on the
