There is no way of knowing if someone has recently lost a job or had an illness. Many people don't sell off everything they own when they hit a bump. Many are actively looking for work. Many times they are making ends meet by putting their cash on utilities, rent, car payments and insurance. When people start selling everything off, letting cars and homes go they are at the point of giving up. They are preparing for full aid. Welfare was designed to be a hand up during hard times, now they demand you sell everything before you can be helped. In our area it is almost impossible to work with ou

She Reveals She Hated Being A Child Pageant Queen

Sooo where are the kids, being beaten, starved? burnt by cigarettes? My mommy accidentally sprayed hair spray in my eyes, the lace scratched my baby skin waaaaaaaaa. My mommy gave me Red Bull and I am soooooooooooo worse off than kids that ate PB&J twice a day for their entire childhood. How about many that never ate lunch for 10 years because they didn't want the other kids to see their blue free lunch card? Any of these kids driving tractors 12 hours a day from memorial day to labor day? picking cotton? baling hay? My heart just bleeds for the little snowflakes. Folks need to get a -
I absolutely agree, I was born and raised in the south. There were drinkers and teetotalers and everything in-between. I also lived in the Northeast for many years. Everywhere you go people like to have a few and relax.' Many get together on the porch or backyard. In the Northeast you have something like the Cheers where everyone knows your name. Many neighborhoods have a Pub here and in Europe. The south is unique in that they do absolutely nothing in encouraging responsible drinking, whether establishments have vans or Limo's, taxi cabs, or neighborhood pubs within walking distance.

My peeps and I went to a North paulding establishment tonight. We are very responsible, DD or one drink and water, pitchers of water on the table. The hassle of being stopped, always under the limit for everyone in the group, we don't want to wait on the Breathalyzer to come and clear us coming and going. If anything, it hurt Hiram businesses where we planned to get together. Paulding county and Hiram are extremely dependent on businesses they are 1/2 of their tax base. They might want to think about killing the Golden Goose.

Try calling the sheriff to see if you are safe? I know there was a bunch of cussing cause people waited an hour to get to the intersection to be turned around. I don't often criticize LE but they could have gone back towards the gas station and let folks know so they could go through New hope or crossroads.

Please take the time to click through and read the rest. I have seen so many people turn against each other on the forums over politics. it's not worth making enemies over folks!!! The rest of the story Political discourse is the Las Vegas of Christianity—the environment in which our sin is excused. Hate is winked at, fear is perpetuated and strife is applauded. Go wild, Christ-follower. Your words have no consequences here. Jesus doesn’t live in Vegas. It’s time we talk politics in a way that models the teachings of Jesus rather than mocks them. Not only are believer

This was a beautiful ceremony. I am so proud of Paulding's men and women in uniform. The bell ceremony was very moving.

Not a political topic but what about our people overseas?
LPPT replied to sutler's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We mind our own business, Mexico comes to mind right off the bat. These people will risk death to get over the boarder. Yet unlike our ancestors they won't fight to change their country and end the caste system that keeps them down. We allow ourselves to be used and hated. Whats in it for us is the answer, if it does not put money in our pockets we walk away.If we are protecting corporate interest then they need to pay the taxes that think are so unfair. Oil companies get the biggest tax breaks of any industry in this country, we have fought billion dollar wars to keep it flowing and many of -
Not a political topic but what about our people overseas?

I actually think it is a good question. As I said in the 911 thread I was shocked that we were hated so much. People act like it is unpatriotic to even question what our government does in other countries. I see people hating the people of other countries for what the government does, I don't think it is right to assume that the people in any country approve of what their leaders are doing. Same thing with thinking a government condones the actions of groups in their countries. We will always have issues with Middle Eastern countries, The problem is we are there, all up in their busines -

We are seeing these articles more and more frequently and the first thing people yell is wealth envy. It has been my experience that many wish to be wealthy and dream of the things they could do and have. The people that want to be wealthy are. These stats scare me and they should scare everyone. Our economy is built on consumerism, these numbers represent shrinkage. Basically we have been protecting the wrong income group for far too many years. The golden goose for the wealthy are the consumers and that class is shrinking. The upper middle class is as always following the lead of the w

I said that once and someone explained to me that as a Christian nation that we would no longer be true Christians. Christians forgive as Christ forgives our sins. Muslims destroy and kill in the name of Allah.

I forgot how weird it was not to have planes going overhead, when they started back you listened to them and remembered.

I don't think we brought it on ourselves, but I do believe we were naive about how other countries saw us. I always felt like we were looked up to and appreciated by many all over the world. I felt that those that did not approve were a small minority. I do see that Muslims are so fundamentally different from us that we should have had some idea that we were not wanted nor appreciated. Now I know that they only tolerate us for the money we spend on oil in their countries. I wish that we could take the sweetest revenge by never giving them another penny for their oil. To see their economy crum

I know what you are saying, it was like when someone close to you dies and your world stops for days or sometimes weeks and you again become aware of the world around you. You felt like the world should have stopped for at least that day, but yet we continued through the motions.

There are lots of things that have happened in my life I don't remember, many times I don't remember what I did yesterday. But I remember 9/11. I remember I was watching the weather channel before getting ready to leave the house. Someone broke into the show to say they were getting reports of a plane crash into the twin towers. There seemed to be a lot of confusion in the announcement so I turned to CNN. They were still showing the pictures and it was early enough that there was still speculation about the cause. I call my husband and told him, I said that their was speculation about a terr
